Boobs too big 11 days post op
Hi, I'm new on here. I had my op 11 days ago and surgeon did warn me that they would be swollen and look too big and too high to begin. I asked for a C cup and made it clear I didn't want any bigger! I measured myself today and put the figures into a website which said I was between a D and DD. I'm petite and don't want boobs this big. Is it likely that they'll really go down to a C cup?? I'm feeling so disappointed.

Don't feel disappointed hun, you'll still have a fair degree of swelling and as they settle they'll change shape loads and have a more natural shape. You won't have loads of upper pole fullness if that's troubling you now? What size implants did you have? If you did the rice test I'm sure your result will end up very similar. And likewise if you tried on sizers your result won't be too dissimilar. Give it time, you'll love them soon I'm sure. But if you really do feel this way in 6 months (which I doubt you will), something can be done x

Thank you! I got 300cc under muscle, I did the rice test but didn't try any sizers. It's not so much the projection that worries me but their fullness, they're too wide, too fat if you know what I mean. x

Give it time. As they start of soften you may be happier with the width. Did the surgeon tell you your breast? Just to add, they may not gone down to a c cup, but remember you're perception of a c cup may be different to the reality. Focus instead on how they look and ignore bra sizes which are merely numbers and letters!

No he didn't tell me the width. Yes numbers aside I still don't like them! I think I'll be happy with them in a bikini but in clothes I really don't like them unfortunately x

Maybe try and find some progress photos and picture trails....you'll see how they settle over time and it might give you some assurances! Some of the ladies have posted links to websites and you tube links before so someone may come along and do that!

Re: Boobs too big 11 days post op
Hi! Im sorry you are feeling this way though its quite normal to dislike yr boobs in some way or another for a while post op. I couldn't stand mine til about 7 weeks post op. I also wanted full C to a D and ended up measuring an E. Im perfectly happy with them as , like mammaMiami says, its just numbers and letters. They look perfectly in proportion when I wear clothes and nobody has noticed!
They will change and the swelling will subside. Hopefully you will feel better about them when you've got used to them. It can be a bit of a shock at first to look down and see boobs.
Can I just ask of you are wearing what u wore before? Maybe try and get a couple of new tops to dress your new shape? For me, going from nothing to an E has obviously changed how my clothes look. There are defo some things out there that are more suited to smaller busts, the same goes with bigger ones x

Thanks everyone for your replies. Jen23 I was a 32b, fortunately so far my size 8 clothes have fitted fine over my new boobs but I just think they look ugly. I'm not a fan of big boobs anyway, I've always preferred a more petite frame but my boobs looked awful after 2 kids. I only wanted to be a little bit bigger. Xx

Re: Boobs too big 11 days post op
Steer clear of online measurement things. I actually put a post on here somewhere showing the difference. My true size is 32dd/e. The online sizes had me at 36a-c. And really do try not to put too much stock in a bra size, it means nothing.
I'm sorry to hear you're not happy, but this early there is a lot of swelling going on all round your boobs, back, ribs, all your upper torso. They'll look fat and ugly and sit wrong and can really get you down. But your not alone. A lot of women can get the booby blues in the first few weeks, because the media tells us that you get a boobjob and boom, they're done and fabulous. It's not true. In fact, it can take around 6months before you can start to see anywhere near the final result, and there's a year's worth of healing to do on the inside.
You'll hear everyone here say it, but it really does he take time. Try not to over analyse them right now (easier said than done, I know). Plus they're all stuffed into an ugly sports bra right now. Once they start to settle and soften and you get the all clear for normal bras, hopefully you'll feel better.

Re: Boobs too big 11 days post op
Yes, patience is key & lots of it in the early days!
They can take a while before they start to settle & in the meantime can look lots of weird & wonderful shapes.
I found with mine when I wasn't liking what I was seeing, I ignored them for a while as over analysing you'll drive yourself mad, only for them to change & look good, which they will given time! & if you're not happy once all fully healed it's nothing that can't be fixed, but don't think it will come to that. XXX

Re: Boobs too big 11 days post op
For some women early post-op although they've prepared for their Breast Augmentation, they've longed for their boobs and they've been so excited on the build up and sometimes it can be quite a shock to system when we actually DO have a pair of boobs staring back at us.
Especially the Frankeinboobs we have early post-op. They're just NOTHING like we imagined in our heads and sometimes we just need time, not so much to heal, but to get our heads around the whole boob thing altogether.
Right now though sweetheart they'll be held high, your skin and muscle will be stretched and it's also possible the booby blues have also set in. When this happens everything is magnified X10, so as you say "your boobs are too big" this may well be just down to how you're feeling right now. The boy Blues bring with it - negative thoughts, uncontrollable tears, mountains grown out of molehills (no pun intended lol). It's just a thoroughly tough time to get through.
Time however isn't just a great healer of the body though, it's also a great healer of the mind and this surgery can REEEEAAAALLLLY mess with your mind.
i would however say that given you've had your surgery aboard it even more important for you to convey how you're feeling about your boobs right from the get go. So if you're feeling they're too big, although it's highly likely they'll settle and you'll be happy it's also VERY important you note your concerns with your surgeon, now and at regular intervals if you're still unhappy throughout your recovery.
This is so, IF you're still very unhappy after healing given what you asked for initially your surgein really should take that onboard and review it for you.
There's no need for panic though at all, just a simple case of ensuring you have it in email to your surgein what you requested from the surgery and how you're feeling about them now. Your surgeon will no doubt say as we have - give it time lol. Which he's quite right to ask, but when the review period is over and IF you're still unhappy your proof of emails will be very difficult to ignore if you get where I'm coming from hun. Xx

Thank you Cookie, I think you might be right about the boobie blues because you've described just how I've been feeling. I'm going to take your advice and email my concerns to my surgeon as I have a few other questions that I'd like to ask as well. I've only just found this amazing website and although the information available has been wonderful its also made me realise how much in the dark I feel about the whole process. I had been super impressed with my surgeon until the last few days, now I'm thinking there are some pretty important things that he didn't tell me (like whether he put in round or anatomical implants!!) so I'm going to send an email with all my concerns this afternoon. I will try to find some patience to wait for the pups to drop etc and keep my fingers crossed in the meantime! Thank you again xx

It's amazing how much surgeons don't actuallh tell you or warn you what to expect. I would have been clueless if it wasn't for this forum!

Try not to focus on what you think you should have done. You're here now, you've had your surgery and you're moving on doing the right thing in emailing your concerns and yes, you should absolutely know what you have inside your body.
If we ca help in any way espresso, do just give us a shout. Xx
