What is WRONG with society?
I think there must of been either last night or very recently programme about girls having their boobs done and one of the guys in my office started a random conversation slagging women off for having their boobs done etc and the last comment he made was "what is wrong with society".
I was laughing a bit at the back of my mind, how little they now in here - it only proves I made a right deciosion and havent said anything to people I am working with as they are very, very judgemental in here.
Also, I feel that for example Botched up bodies puts a negative light on cosmetic surgeries and every time people I work with (male only), laugh and made nasty comments after they watched it.
For some reason their small brains think that what they show on the programme, exactly happens when you have any cosmetic procedure done and sometimes I feel like saying "actually guys, on the 2nd of December I had my boobs done and as you probably noticed I am fine" I wish I could see their faces then ha ha:ral:

Re: What is WRONG with society?
I agree with you camilla,
There is still such a taboo with surgery and the fact that "everyone" who has it will look stupid or something will go wrong,
That unfortunately I believe stems from years of silly celebrity's taking things too far & also these nasty vile unqualified surgeons abroad etc who don't pride themselves in doing the job properly/safely,
I personally think if you want Jordan size bazookas this is your choice and who are we to judge ?
Everyone person that I have told I'm having my boobs done the very first comment I've had is "oh your not guna come out like an E cup are you like Jordan " I've always replied with no a C/D cup max.... Because everyone believes Jordan was a F cup, it'll only be when I see people in person that I'll say oh btw I'm an E cup and blow me down don't they look like what your perception of a D is !
I think programmes like botched up bodies are good as it does make people aware of the risks if you choose these cheap foreign surgery deals and not using qualified surgeons etc, what I don't like about botched body type programmes is the whiff of negativity and disapproval you get, from the presenters
Xx
Ps hope ur healing well ?

I met up with some friends in the pub for a meal at Christmas. The first thing they done was said hello to my chest and said, oh I thought they would be a lot bigger than that. That really **naughty word** me off. Get a bloody life. Xx

Re: What is WRONG with society?
That would peed me off too Anne, how very rude!
I agree with Roses that celebrities and media are to blame but not everybody is aiming for Jordan's look, everyobody is different I think.
We were watching about cosmetic surgeries on the telly and they commented why would anybody consider having surgery - I knew I want be sharing my boob job news with them just to avoid judgemental comments:) and also I dindnt want anybody to talking to my chest as thats just disrespectful.
Having said that I am sure there are ladies out there surrounded by normal people :)

Re: What is WRONG with society?
Im glad you put a specific topic and didn't just leave it as an open question lol I could have filled it with things that are Wong with society and people's narrow ,mindedness lol
Ive had a couple of people ask why I didn't go bigger (nobody has noticed until I've told them) my answer is "because I don't want people like u looking at them" lol x

Re: What is WRONG with society?
Breast augmentation will always mosly bring to mind the 'glamour model' image and I don't actually blame glamour models or celebs for people's perceptions of boob jobs, it's not actually them who write their comments in papers, it's their agents and all celebs and glamour models are doing is a job...just like the rest of us - I blame the person. If they're too ignorant to actually take a moment to research a topic before opening their mouth, they'd be far better saying nothing at all. Sure, after all we may have augmentated boobs that look good, but we don't choose to act like a d*ck which is such an unattractive quality
Booobs are very much seen as 'sexual objects' and many men think when the bad boys come out they have the God given right to make comment and to stare, maybe even throwing in a 'they're not real'
Well, unless they're a figment of their imagination they're as real as the ignorance they're blatantly flouncing.
We will even have to occasionally deal with some women being envious of your assets and when it gets to the point of bitchiness, I actually think this is quite sad. Girls are terrible at ripping each other apart when we really should all be united, but they're very often worse than men and more often than not the best of the bitchiness is "They're fake anyway" *yawwwwwwwn*
I hate the word 'fake' my boobs aren't fake either. They're 'augmented' Or 'enhanced'
Just as one would enhance your skin with a tan, or enhance your lashes with falsies, enhance your nails with varnish, enhance your face with make-up, enhance your hair with colour....there's no difference at all. If we're fake for having augmented boobs, then pretty much most of the female population is fake too and many men as well!

Re: What is WRONG with society?
I've only told a handful of people about my boob job and most of them made jokes about Jordan sized boobs. The media has given such a negative image of breast enlargement, I only wanted a C cup, a small C at that so jokes about DD etc really annoyed me!

Re: What is WRONG with society?
I don't intend to tell anyone about mine, apart from my partner & this is exactly why. People are so small minded and think because your having your boobs done your going to get them out for the world to see!

Re: What is WRONG with society?
I tried not to tell anyone about my boob job, I told a few girls at work following a convo at lunch where one girl was really slagging off "fake boobs" I posted on here about it. She said how you could always tell and how awful they are. I couldn't help but pipe up that you can't always tell and just as she was putting me in my place I was like "really, that's funny I have fake boobs" and actually she hadn't spotted them from across the table.
Bar her, I've not had one negative comment, I've told a few people now and no one else has been judgemental at all.
Those programmes do wind me up, they are so biased and one sided. If I heard someone say that, I'd have said mine are enhanced, I'm fine and I love them. Soon shuts people up.

Re: What is WRONG with society?
The 'DD' another media myth. Everyone with average boobs is a B, large boobs is a DD and huge boobs is an F/G, no accounting for the actual volume vs band size. Perfect example of this is the infamous whatserface from ripping off the NHS (sorry, I'm having a real brain f@rt this evening!). She magically went up from a 32b to a 36dd, according to the sun, because she had big, but not huge boobs, so we cant publish the 32F, lets make her 36dd. That's literally impossible!
I am an actual 32dd. Sometimes I'm a 32E. Sometimes I'm a 34d. At all times are my boobs, and the status of other women's boobs whom you are not privy to, none of your damn business. And those people who know I've had them done think they're awesome!

Re: What is WRONG with society?
I don't like all the negative press either. Unfortunately people like to hate other people. They invent perfectly acceptable reasons to vent this hatred and prejudice towards other people. When I was a single mother and lost my job. Society judged me and I was on the receiving end for it. Now its the surgery. I personally would have responded with he importance of not making judgement on people's am decisions and such a decision makes them a diversity group and so should it is unfair to discriminate small society groups based on their personal choice and I'm sure this does not tie in with company values. See them squirm x
