Fluffing!
Hi all! Does fluffing happen with all implants whether dual plane, under or overs or is it just overs? Thanks!

Re: Fluffing!
Yes, all breasts have potential to fluff using any implant. , however, that's not to say they will though.
Fluffing isn't guaranteed when you have a Breast Augmentation, but in over 8000 women that we have on Breast Buddies there's only ever been about 3 that hasn't fluffed.
Patience is key though and don't get fitted into bras or have cheeky try on days out before your surgein gives you the all clear.
Your first day of being able to be fitted is such a special day and if you call the place you're planning on going to ahead (Bravissimo is the best place) Theyll book you a personal fitting and will have plenty of time to focus just on you and getting the exact right size for you. It's such an exciting day and like I said, it's a VERY small number who don't fluff and some women even fluff two or three times over the course of the year your boobs have to heal. The record we have here for the latest fluffing is 9 months post-op, so don't go mad buying bras for your first fitting because there's always the possibility you could increase in size again....and even again.... Xxx

Re: Fluffing!
Fluffing will happen regardless of placement. Its all to do with gravity, when the 'goo' drops from a D shape of a new implant to more of a b shape with a slope, as it settles in the bottom of the implant and gives it that fuller lower pole look. As Cookie said, on the rare occasion, it wont happen. But you have to give it time. Mine was around 6months for round textured unders. I was fitted at 3, and then at 6 realised I was spilling out of the cups! It can sometimes cause you to go up a cup as the lower breast fills out more and its much softer, so sits and fills a bra cup properly.

Re: Fluffing!
You don't really get told much about all the post op stuff like that by the surgeon. Well I didn't anyway. It's only by being on this forum I have learned what some of the normal stuff is that you experiance. One question I do have is that how do gummy bear implants contents fall to the bottom if it's a gummy bear consistency ? I can understand it if it's more of a thinner consistency. Xxx

Although when cut the gel remains form stable, meaning it won't disconnect and bleed, but will remain in its form the gel is soft and malleable, so gravity alone will help the gel settle into a natural form for the breast as you can see in the picture above.
I will however be truthful and tell you this is what surgeons tell us. In reality the silicone CAN bleed and can run beyond the capsule. It's happened to me twice. I can however only speak for the cohesive CUI implants as these are so far all I've experienced. But in speaking to a Breast surgeon when I had to attend th Breast clinic about a lymph node he did indeed tell me that in time ALL implants will eventually bleed beyond their shell. Xx
Re: Fluffing!
Thanks cookie. Very usefull info. I would have thought at so e point during the lifetime of an implant the shell may break down. Xx

Re: Fluffing!
Yeah, nothing is made to last a lifetime Anne and any clinic offering 'lifetime aftercare' is normally found to be a very different thing once you read their 'terms and conditions' which funnily enough on these websites offering surgery at very low prices don't advertise. There's generally always hidden 'exceptions to the rules' once you get the terms and conditions which sadly most women don't even ask for and its then when they approach the clinics for help these terms and conditions suddenly arise and you find yourself out in the cold having to find more money to pay for the revision. Xx
