Reduction! Help please.
So, after years of loathing my breasts I am finally at the point of saying enough is enough and they have to go! I live in Nottingham and I know we have a transform clinic locally but I am also open to recommendations for other clinics. I know this can be quite a gruesome op so any/all advice welcome. Thanks.

Re: Reduction! Help please.
Welcome to Breast Buddies Sarah
A reduction is a big operation so to perform this you really do want the very best surgeon you can get.
I'd personally recommend a BAAPS surgeon every time. These surgeons need to be voted into BAAPSHAS by their peers based on their own merit of surgery. They're then taught by their peers and are trainee BAAPS members until they're felt to be up to standard. They will then ONLY if they reach BAAPS standards because full BAAPS members. Their training however doesn't stop there. They're oblidged to be able to remain a BAAPS member to keep up with all the latest surgery techniques and are constantly having their work assessed throughout their membership to ensure again, they're up to standard. So, as you can imagine, you're getting the cream of the crop there.
With a reduction it does involve a lot of scarring and to enable yourself to get the best scars possible, because trust me, having had a full anchor uplift myself which involves the same scarring as a reduction and having had very bad scarring, you really want to be looking for a surgeon who has great skill with a scapel, because it ain't pretty when it goes wrong Sarah that's for sure.
On the flip side...when it goes right - it's a- maze-zing how fabulous your boils look and how wonderful you'll feel looking in the mirror at your new boobs.
If you're looking to have a consultation at Transform they don't tend to attract BAAPS surgeons so where you have reassurance with that name that you're getting a fully qualified surgeon, with the larger commercial clinics like Transform its so, so very important you check the qualifications of any surgeon you're looking to see. Did you have a surgein in mind?
Do makes sure if you're looking to have consultations through Transform that you check their qualifications on the GMC register. Once you find the surgein on the register, you then want to ensure the surgein is also on the specialist register for plastic surgery. Not all are, which is why we do ask our members to check first.
If you have any further questions at all please just fire away, its also when you have time beneficial to have a read through the Breast Augmentation Information section. That section is filled with so much to help you get your perfect boobs also.
If you'd like to look up a BAAPS surgeon in your area, you can do so on their website HERE
Just click 'find a surgeon' and then the surgeons names to see where they work and their qualifications.
just to add, unlike Transform and the other larger clinics BAAPS members don't offer free consultations, but if money is an issue you can see a BAAPS surgein for as little as £25 through MyBreast.

Thank you so much for getting back so quickly. I've just been look at Stephen McCulley very interesting as he works at our city hospital and specialises in breast reduction and reconstruction.
