Can I go swimming?
Would you know if it is safe to go swimming? It just came to my mind to go swimming on the weekend or its different from person to person and I should ask my surgeon? X

Re: Can I go swimming?
You'll only be ble to use public facilities or even fully submerge your new boobs when you get the all clear from your surgeon.
Depending on surgeon and healing this could be anytime from around 4 to 12 weeks.
But yes, definitely clear this with your surgeon Camilla. People using public swimming baths go there with all kinds of viruses, infections and there's all their bacteria also swimming around in that pool, so if your incisions are still fairly new and there's any openings in them at all you will be at a high risk of infection.
After fully healing and getting the all clear to treat your new boobs as normal though, you can swim away till your hearts content. Just like with an excercise though, you will find that your arms are really weak at first and it'll take time to build up the strength in them again. But it does come back and you'll be just fine. Xx

Haw far post op are you? Like cookie says, its normally 6-12wks before you're ok to submerge. Water is a breeding ground for bacteria, so a public pool is a big no until your incisions are 100% healed. If you're in any doubt, just give your clinic a call to confirm when it's safe.

Re: Can I go swimming?
It makes no difference Camilla to us how far along you are post-op. We can't take responsibility to say all is well for you. You really need this to be cleared by your surgeon or even the clinic nurse.
Why not make an appointment to see either one as soon as you can and get the all clear you're hoping for which should be fine given how far along you are but we can't say you'll definitely be fine lovely, because we simply don't know. Xx

I agree, I would rather have it confirmed with my surgeon or nurse than risk it etc xx
