Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Hey I am still in hospital so will write more when I get on my laptop as it's easier. But it went brilliantly . Had my 1st peek and already amazing. Waking up from GA was horrible and couldn't shift it for about 2 hours, weird as I am usually ok under GA. I decided to stay overnight as I didn't know how bad the pain was gonna be after GA/ local anaesthetic etc had worn off and I am glad I did. Mr Hassan visited me at 10pm to check on me - I was amazed he was still here as my op was at 2pm. He said I had an exceptional amount of muscle (due to years of trying to fix my boobs in the gym) to cut through so no wonder I was I pain. He prescribed me tramadol along with codeine and paracetamol so pain is well under control. The nurses at WMHospital are so so lovely and can't do enough for you and Mr Hassan was making jokes before and after op as well as being really concerned about how I was.
I bet you are really excited. I have hardly slept a wink partly due to comfort but also due to still being excited. I would bring some snacks as they only give you some sandwiches later on that aren't great so juice, fruit etc is a good idea.
LOVE my boobies. Thanks for asking and remind me when your uplift is xxx

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Thanks guys. I thought I had gotten away lightly with the pain and was even in a shop trying boots on this morning ( only because of my foot operation I had), but it's now started to kick in and I can feel bruising and swelling starting. Damn it, thought the pain fairy had forgotten me. No such luck

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Ice packs lairyfarie!
They helps soooooo much! Honestly, pop them over the tops of your boobs (never near incisions though) and they do help relieve the discomfort. If you don't have icepacks then a bag of peas, corn, rice, or anything frozen you could pop over the tops of your boobs. Xx

ice packs!!! Good job I re-read your post cookie as I got them out and put them on my ribs where I could feel bruising starting. Now have moved them to top of boobs and away from incisions.
Emma i was due to have TIVO but they got the prices muddled and I would have had to pay £350 extra fior it at Wedt Mids Hospital so had GA. At Westbourne Centre Mr Hassans other clinic it's a day centre so TIVO is in price. Are you having sedation?

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Nope has GA for that too. It's the same anaesthetic as GA but also with propophol which is given in a smaller amount but continuously so you don't get the grogs after. I have spoken to a couple of people who had it that said it was fine as your not very lucid and just slip in and out of consciousness. But the GA only messes me about for a couple of hours afterwards anyway. Are you ok with anaesthetic as some people react really badly?

I a so happy for you!! Chuffed you are pleased with the size.
That sucks about the pain, hopefully you are feeling a bit better now and the ice packs are doing their magic.
My uplift is 5 weeks yesterday x

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Thanks for asking.I had a rough day yesterday, felt really fluey and headachey . I haven't actually had much pain with the newbies. I have an ache in the left one but nothing to moan about really. Sleeping fine using a Vpillow to slightly raise me head and making a little cot in my bed out of pillows. My BF is currently sleeping in the back bedroom so that I can have a pillow fortress. Waking up every morning about 8am with achey boobs but then just pop some pills and its gone.
I have showered myself, washed and dried my own hair and other bits and bobs - I am really lucky in the pain stakes at the moment.
The worst bit is the fried head from to much TV/internet! I have even staretd watching CBB and I NEVER watch it!!!
Im making sure I am getting out for some fresh air every day now.
I bet you ladies cant wait ay!!

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
Haha the worst thing for me will be sitting still and having to watch TV, I've just had a week annual leave - back to work today and although I've loved spending time with my little family I can't wait to get out the house!
I'm also terrible for not sitting still and always cleaning up etc so that's gonna be tough ;) glad to hear you're not suffering too much hun :)

Re: Post Op LairyFairy!
You seem to be grand lairyfairy! Always feel so much better after a hair wash.
Yes, I am dreading the recovery time, I get bored so easily! I will order some DVDs next week, but there is still only so much time you can spend sitting on your bum watching tv!
