Update
Hi girls .
So I been for my check up today he took the tape of my incisions and put some new ones on he said they've healed really well. He also said I can have a bath? What's your thoughts on this? I thought I had to wait longer he said my wound is healed (I still have dissolvable stitches in ) I also asked if I could use soapy products now and he said yes . I'm confused

Ooooo, I agree, 18 days post-op is a little early to be fully submerging your incisions.
If he's replaced the tapes on your incisions it doesn't make sense to say they're fully healed does it? I mean why the need for strengthen the incisions with tape if they don't need it?
I think if it were me Ambz, I'd swerve the bath for now and just stick to your showers with the suds running over them.
Once your incisions are 'holding their own' and don't require tapes anymore to stabilise the incisions, 'maybe' then they would be fine, but for now Ambz, I actually think you've been right in asking the question. When you get a bath, you aren't doing like you are in a shower and rinsing the bacteria off your skin, you're actually laying in it and if your incisions aren't fully healed then that bacteria could enter the incision and cause an infection.
Are you sure he said you could fully submerge your incisions in the bath? You can use soapy products to wash your incisions. Most women just don't like touching their incisions at first and the majority is advised to just let those soapy products run over rather than rub in and I'm presuming you have glue over your stitches which does make the incisions shower proof, but it doesn't make them water proof.
It's up to you hun. In general I'd always say listen to your surgeon, but in this case, I'm not saying ignore him....just maybe wait a while longer till your incisions are holding their own and then listen...

Re: Update
Totally agree with cookie, maybe he's said it meaning shallow bath quick wash and not fully submerged. After all a bath for a bloke is most diffrent from a woman.. ! Well unless you count my husband who enjoys a nice long hot soak for a good 20/30 mins!!
