Post Op Tiredness
Anyone else just feel; absolutely exhausted after their op? I'm 2 weeks today, and am tired all the time...even ready for a nap right about now ;) x

Re: Post Op Tiredness
Totally normal.
I know having Breast Augmentation is 'elective surgery' but it's surgery all the same and it does take it out of you and your body needs time to recover from it, hence the tiredness. As my mother would say - "whilst you sleep, you heal" so always listen to your body and if you do feel tired and you're able to, have a sleep and let your body recover. Xx

Re: Post Op Tiredness
Boobies2be..maybe the Dolan Park anesthetic was particularly potent our week ;) ..I'd say I've slept through 80% of the last 19 days - done wonders for the bags under my eyes haha.
It's only been the last few days that I've been awake more - shame it's just at this time of night, when I should be sleeping though!
Back to work on Monday so one last day of snoozing left!

Glad I'm not imagining it then! Absolutely dreading going back to work tomorrow as the thought of waking up early is keeping me awake haha! x

Re: Post Op Tiredness
You should be absolutely fine retuning to work two weeks + post-op....but it's not that way for everyone.
So, if you do have a very demanding job and you just feel the tiredness is overwhelming, don't worry about seeing your GP for a sick note to sign you off for anathema week. They'd simply write 'general surgery' on a sick note so reveal of the surgery you've had done.
Or...if you're having to lift in work you could get your GP to sign you off heavy duties in work for the remainder of your recovery period, so you'd then only have to do light duties which would be less strenuous on your body.
Just listen to your body is all I'm saying. If you're finding you're not coping. Don't push it and go and see your GP. Xx
