One bigger and slightly more painful
hey girls!! I'm 5 days post op and My right Breast is slightly bigger and abit more painful than my left. It isn't hard not any warmer than the right. It's been like this since my op pretty much, this one had more in the drains too. Bit worried now. I have overdone it yesterday and hoping it more swelling. Got my post op appointment on Monday. I might call the nurse tomorrow. Any advice girls???

Re: One bigger and slightly more painful
Hey jess, I'm just a day ahead of you and my right one is still so so sore to the point I find myself holding it to apply extra pressure. Its not hot either, but I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow for peace of mind as the pain is v localised to the outer side. How are you getting on with recovery otherwise? My leftie is looking great and no probs with that at all, but rightie is definitely the lazy one that's given me gip! Xxx

Re: One bigger and slightly more painful
One Breast being slightly larger than the other is a VERY common thing to happen through recovery. It's generally the boob that suffered a little more trauma getting the implant in than the other as is testament from the amount of fluids you drained from that side than the other.
No two breasts are ever naturally alike (sisters, not twins) and therefore it's likely the skin/muscle on that side was a bit tighter than the other making for a bit more of a squeeze to get the implant in. There's absolutely nothing at all to be concerned about Jess. Your boobs will in time catch with one another but the Breast that had a little more trauma will always take that slightly longer time to heal.
Mine were 10 weeks post-op before my righty even started to catch up, but by 12 weeks they had evened out beautifully.
So at just 5 days you're so, so early in recovery. I'm not saying you're will take as long as mine did to catch up with one another, just using mine as an one example, they could catch up as soon as next week! But if they don't, please don't worry...it really is just a natural part of your healing. Xx

My leftie was twice the size of the right at one point. Then ended up the smaller of the two so dont worry x

Re: One bigger and slightly more painful
As others have said its like two separate op's so going to heal at different rates, early post op boobs can be all over the place in terms of healing dropping & settling etc.
Its good your post op appointments soon though , having them checked over & being able to discuss your concerns face to face with someone maybe just the reassurance you need.

That's good to hear, I was worrying slightly and thinking the worst! I'm still using ice and taking arnica tablets. I'm not really on any pain meds now, I was given co-codamol and after a few days it was making me feel liight headed so I only take them when needed and before bed. Xx

I found the skin to be very sensitive down the side of my boob and still is 5 weeks PO . Although I'm not worried as it's just the inside healing xxx
