Honestly - nope. If you'll be legs only, you might be ok, but going with the poles, nu-uh. This is just my personal opinion though, the only person who can advise you complete is your surgeon. Give them a call and find out for sure.

I would be very nervous of this! Not sure id want to fork out on a ski holiday not knowing if I would enjoy it fully! Some girls are absolutely fine, but for me the not knowing if I'd be ok wouldn't be worth the expense of going. I definitely don't think I could have carried skis, poles etc whilst trekking to a mountain side through snow. If you do go make sure you get a locker! I guess it all depends on now your noobs settle...

Ah thanks girls. It's a Christmas present so not forking out but yeah I've only just found out and they have no idea about my op. God I'm a bit worried now as I can't really turn it down so guess I'll have to take it easy. Don't want to tell them about the op.

Thanks for your help, will speak to surgeon in pre op on tues xx

I think it depends on your level...when I was 7 wks BA I was running so could handle the impact and I'm a decent skier so if I'd have skiied then I could have gone steady and pretty much guaranteed not falling over.  also if you're a complete beginner then you generally go pretty slow.  but the sensible side of me says 7 wks is prob a bit soon x
