Bras...
Hi Ladies,
So, I've obviously been advised to buy a sports bra for post op, but haven't actually been advised which one. My PCC said M&S do a good one, but again, didn't actually specify which one she was referring to (there are quite a few!). I have bought a basic primarni one for washing days, and am aware that Macom 1007 comes highly recommended, but are there any other ones that I could be looking at too? £40 seems like such a lot of money for a bra I'll only be in for a few weeks, which I know sounds utterly ridiculous after just shelling £4600, but every penny counts :). In that price range though, there's also the royce silver bra...any views on that one?
Any recommendations from you lovely ladies that will fill my Friday night's research ;)

Re: Bras...
Hi hun. I know how you feel, it's an absolute minefield. As most of the other girls will tell you it all really depends on how much support your surgeon wants for you. Mine didn't want anything too much so wanted me to buy a 'low impact' sports bra so I got one (which he recommended) from Asda at £7 for 2! I agree, I didn't want to spend £40 on a bra if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Good luck with your hunt! Xx

Re: Bras...
Most surgeons will want you in a 'high impact' supports, so unless your surgein has particulary asked you to wear a low impact bra that's what you're looking into getting.
M&S do a 2 pack of high impact sportsbras for 'I think' about £29. So very reasonable.
I'd chuck your Primani and steer clear of supermarket brands as they just don't have the support required for a Breast Augmentation and after spending so much money it's best to stick to the plan.
M&S also do a fab zip fronted bra, I think that ones £22 and is a big favourite here, but if you're looking for a good budget bra then the m&S two pack are fab

Re: Bras...
Thanks both :)
Cookie, is the 2 pack this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] will I be OK getting them as they're not front fastening? Or should I get the front fastener one as my initial bra, and then incorporate the 2 pack bras after a week or so?
Thanks!! x

Your link was broken sweetie so just to be sure these are the 2 pack.

You've no need at all for any other bras. These are all you'll need. I'd advise picking up some bra extenders also. Marksies should sell them. They're no more than a fiver. I got mine from Amazon for £3. But they're great for swelling around the band and you can add one of those to the fastenings and you have an instant wider band . Xx

Re: Bras...
Hi boobiestobe, I've got 3 macom bras now. I was massively put off by the price but after trying on the first one, I knew they was the bras for me. Small price to pay for comfort and support. I can't imagine wearing anything else ...other than date night ;-) lol xx

Re: Bras...
Little bit confused on the whole bra thing..... What size should I order ? Or should I just go with the macom because that fits any cup size ? Is there a way of getting an idea what size I might be post op ?

Re: Bras...
That's why I liked the macom. Ask if your surgeon supplies you with one . That way you can get one after. Everyone is liking different bras. It's down to taste and what feels best for you. I was supplied with a macom and bought one more. They are pricey but worth it if it's good for your boobies. Xxx

Re: Bras...
Your surgeon should tell you what size to get. Mine suggested the m&s high impact 2 pack and said to get the same band size with a bra extender and in his estimated cupsize (d). I then bought a c and a d in case as I knew I could refund one of them.

Re: Bras...
Mammamia said it all Boobs2be.
Just give the clinic a call. They should have the surgeons estimated size for you so you can take things from there then xx
