Bras??
Hi ladies, just wondering if any of you could recommend any comfy bras for when the ones my surgeon gave me can come off?
Im planning on still sleeping in the ones he gave me as they are so supportive and comfortable, and I want to prolong my boobs as much s possible, and hopefully not experience much sagging.
Firstly,is that even a good idea? Would they be too restrictive?
I had all these images in my head of beautiful bras, but now I have my boobs I almost feel like I don't need them, if that makes sense? I think I would like to wear something more along the lines of crop top type things/sports bras, that are supportive and comfortable....is that do able too?
Obviously I will still go and buy a couple of nice bras.....gotta let hubby see we've had our moneys worth ;)
Just wondered really if anyone else does this?

Re: Bras??
I still wear a sports bra some days and also every night. Often i wear the lonsdale ones as I think they look nicer but not hugely supportive so bare that in mind! Otherwise I'm still in the m&s one I got post op and sometimes the asda ones too (again low impact) x

Re: Bras??
Obviously it would depend when you can but I watched a video on YouTube the other day and the woman said she absolutely swore by Primark sports bras, kind of a crop top, extremely supportive and comfortable, in every colour under the sun for a whole £2.50! Think I might try and get some for when the time comes too xx

Re: Bras??
I bought a primark pre op and I found they came up really small. I bought a medium and couldn't fit my size c natural boobs in it. Got no hope now with my post op babies xxx

Re: Bras??
I plan on sleeping in my wonderful macom forever! Also wearing it for work as I wear a tunic so pointless wearing nice bras. I am getting fitted at bravissimo on saturday and plan on buying their "sophie" non wired set! Its the prettiest non wired bra ive seen to date! I then plan on having one or two plunge bras for the odd occasion I wear a dress or top that requires it x

Re: Bras??
I must have tried on every bra in Bravissimo... and I came out with one. Everything else I didn't like, didn't fit, or both!

Re: Bras??
Thanks for your advice everyone :)
I will have a look when all the Christmas madness is over and the kids are back at school.
So, sleeping in my post op bras will be fine, plus on those days when I might need some extra support.
Mammamia, I do have a Lonsdale one...too small now tho!
H and M ones look comfy, I might try one of those at some point.
What would we do without each other? :) x x x

Re: Bras??
Think when it come s to bra's it's all trial & error , what one person loves in a bra others don't,I love the M&S zip front bra, find it supportive & so comfy, others find it not so comfy, it's all down to personal choice. Even now when I wear nice looking wired bras going on a night out it feels so good to get back into a comfy one when home.
Good to keep them supported in bed even when you don't have to, as you say keeps them looking good for longer! After all you've paid a lot of money you want to look after them as best you can XXX

Re: Bras??
Love, love, love M&S's zip front.
I hate the granny sportsbras, but the M&S are high impact so you're getting all that support, but they're cute too. Like a lil crop top and if you buy Knicks to match, they don't sell with matching Knicks, but plain black go with the leopard for example and they actually make for quite a sexy lil number too, instead of the granny bras. Xx

Thanks girls :)
I looked at the m and s zip ones before surgery, I think they look ace! I will have to give one a go.....especially if they do leopard print! ;) x x

Re: Bras??
I'm itching like you would not believe and just don't know what to do with myself. I would give anything to leave my bra off . That's tge reason no bra is comfortable right now xx

Re: Bras??
Have you tried ice packs Anne? Popping them over the tops of your boobs avoiding your incisions helps lots!
If you don't have ice packs, a bag of frozen rice/corn/peas, or anything if you're desperate will honestly help sooooo much.
I swear by ice packs throughout your recovery for all the post-op niggles. X

Re: Bras??
There's definitely the argument for a night bra to keep you supported. In general its up to you what you wear day to day, but you will need to be supported now you're bigger. They're standing to attention now, but there's this niggly little thing called gravity! I like the Lonsdales too for a comfy bra when I cant be bothered with wires, but wear a t-shirt bra most of the time. Though I think I need to change brand, mine keep stabbing me under the arms!

Re: Bras??
You'll wonder why you didn't use them from the start lol they're like one big ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh when they're on.
Nothing better for you after a Breast Augmentation. My hubby uses mine for his knees now (they're knackered from years of footie) so we're on for a fight for them when I have my Breast Augmentation lol. Xx
