Catheter
Hi this is a silly question. Do you know if they put one of these in while under GA ? For a BA ? xxx

Re: Catheter
There's never a 'silly question' here sweetheart
No, there's no catheter ready Anne. You're under the general anaesthetic for maybe an hour tops for a regular BA. So I really wouldn't worry about that. Xx

Re: Catheter
I didn't. I don't think they do, because its only a hr or so surgery, they just make you pee beforehand. Although I was threatened with one when I couldn't pee after the op (which is a totally normal thing to happen btw, its the GA). I just drank loads of water and cranberry and eventually it happened!

Re: Catheter
Awwww you must have those little butterflies round about now this really is the BEST part of your BA journey. It's so, so exciting.
If your hubby is anything like mine he'll be a nervous wreck right now and you'll be too busy calming his nerves to worry about anything lol.
Enjoy it Anne and lots of luck for tomorrow sweetheart xx

Re: Catheter
You won't need a pee as you won't have drunk anything for a few hours!
