Catheter?
Hi girls
Have my redo in 2 weeks and I was just wondering if you have to have a catheter as its done under general anaesthetic? I can't remember from last time, it was 10 years ago lol.
thanks,
Lucy x

Re: Catheter?
No I don't think you need a catheter, one lady I remember on here had to have a catheter fitted afterwards because her bladder went to sleep because of the GA, but that is very rare. xxx

Re: Catheter?
My re-op was over 4 hours long and I didn't have a catheter, I have had catheters before for other surgical procedures but that was due to me not being able to get out of bed at all after the surgery and they didn't bother me at all. xxx

Re: Catheter?
Hi hun,i would think unless you have any complications, your bladder not working sufficiently post op i think its unlikely you will need a catheter.Good luck x
