Hi everyone I just joined the forum today and was wondering if anyone had suffered from this and successfully had a BA?
When I had my last baby I lost a LOT of blood, three litres, and had a transfusion and was put on iron tablets. My hb is fine now but my stores of iron or ferritin is still on the low side of normal and needs to go up a fair bit to be normal. I feel okay but  sometimes get  bit breathless. I know no surgeon will want to go near me just now, but wonder if anyone else had a problem like this pre surgery? Many thanks x

I am anaemic but it's controlled with tablets, I was told it wouldn't affect it, but my pre op bloods came back ok anyway.

I didnt in the run up to my op, or after,  I had symptoms before I started taking iron though.

Ah ok. This is the first time I've had a problem with it, main symptom being breathless. It drives me mad! X
