Re: December Buddies
I think it's because if I had a general anaesthetic they like to leave a long gap in between, but another surgeon from THG who offered to do the same procedure procedure told me I would only need a 3 week gap because the op I did in November is only 15 minutes long and done by keyhole surgery, and I left 6 weeks in between, so I thought it would be ok.
but when I spoke to my care coordinator she said the surgeon and the anaesthetist would have to decide, how long to leave in between and with Dr Payne going on holiday before getting the anaesthetic details, he may have thought it's best to cancel.. I am hoping it's not that but I am worried.. because I am not sure who else can help me..
I then found out from the surgeon who did the op that it was local anaesthetic with sedation so no general anaesthetic, but by the time the surgeon emailed the medical certificate everybody had gone home/Dr Payne had left for the holidays.
I think I might just reschedule the op on Monday to be on the safe side for end of Jan, that way there is a proper 2 and a half month gap and the surgeon/anaesthetist is happy..

Re: December Buddies
Everything is fine, the letter was nothing to worry about, just a confirmation of the risks. I think I should have just scheduled a third consult and saved me a lot of research and worrying. I might reschedule the surgery to end of Jan because of the anaesthetic, which still hasn't been decided and because I did had another cosmetic op in November only and am still recovering. I genuinely thought it was a general, and I want to be on the safe side, I have a little girl and I wouldn't want to take any extra risks. It's going to take 2 years to achieve what I want anyway with transforming my body and life and I am super pleased I don't have to find another surgeon. x

I've 2 more sleeps to go, don't think I'm gonna be able to get any sleep mind as been so excited.

Re: December Buddies
Hi Emma,
Yes my op was 5 days ago.
It all went great. I had a reaction to the tape they put across the top of my chest, it pulled chunks of skin off my upper chest.
I am happy with the girls and the recovery has been well.
I slept a lot the first 3 days but managed almost 12 hours up yesterday (Wednesday). Yay go me.
I certainly feel like i'm on cloud 9 .

Re: December Buddies
@ambzdee94 lol @ u r destitute I know the feeling! have paid the full amount already because I wanted to not spend the money but am going to have my op at the end of Jan because the surgeon has to sign off on size and I didn't want to disturb him on his hols!
one more month and a half!! just booked a final consult on 11th Jan I think - hope it goes well, am looking forward to getting it done now x good luck to all the December ladies! x

Re: December Buddies
Hi Emma,
The pain is bearable, the first few days were the worst, just niggly more than painful.
Luckily, well unlucky for me I've had major toothache for over 3 weeks so that kinda took the emphasis off the pain/discomfort from my girlies.
I'm feeling pretty good and can't stop smiling which is good
