One year check up - Alls well!
Hi Ladies. Well, I had my one year (and three months) check up today, and it went well. All 10 minutes of it!! I went in, whipped my top off, pics, grope, and he's very happy with the results. He said they're nice and soft, so he's very pleased with them. I asked about the pains I'd been having in my lefty, and he said its all normal, so don't worry. But obviously to come back if it gets worse. He said to pop in again in around 5yrs time for another check up to make sure things are still ok. I'll probably have a private MRI myself in that time anyway.
I also asked about the affect my auto immune disease would have on them re CC. He asked all the right questions about my symptoms and meds and how long ago etc, so I feel like he was listening and concerned, but the fact that they've got my inflammation back to zero so quickly and I'm continuing with the low dose steroids, he's not worried about it. This was the same response I got from my rheumatologist the other week too, so I'm happy. But again, if any thing changes in my breasts (or blood), then always go back.
My one gripe - I'd posted on here that THG London are now doing post op check ups from the Hammersmith clinic. Well, when I got there, its not exactly clear, because its not a THG clinic - its a Surgicare clinic. The only reason I spotted it was because I remembered from Dolan Park it saying that they do Surgicare patients too. I'm not sure of the link, if its indeed the same company, but they had my notes. The clinic itself wasn't as 'plush' as the Harley St one, and the reception staff could be a little more professional (I never trust a grown woman in pigtails...). I couldn't believe there was a day case theatre there (apparently they're now doing day case BA's from there, which seems terrifying considering you walk outside straight into a building site!). But they fully catered for what I was there for - a quick check up.
So thumbs up, all's well, bring on the bikini's and Jamaica!!

It's true! Other than fancy dress, there is no need for any girl over the age of 12 to legitimately wear pigtails! It's just weird!

Glad your appointment went well. It's good he asked you to go back for a routine check in 5 years!
It's amazing how time flies! We had our ops at similar times and I still can't believe it has gone so quickly.
Xxx

Congratulations Charlii, glad it all went well!
Pigtails??? haha. Did you see Mr Sulaiman?
I havent seen him since before my op and ive been offered to see a different surgeon for my 12 post op appointment? Just wondered if its normal not to have follow up appointments with different surgeons?

I did see him, yes. Why have they offered you a different surgeon? That's not normal, you should see him for sure. I saw him at 3 and 15 months, there was never any issue. He's in and out the country, so it may be the dates don't work out, but they should offer you dates for him. I'd push back and ask why.
