Bras...
So following on from my last thread in a way...
I am going to Bravissimo on Sat to be measured for new bras. My PS have me the all clear at my one month check but wanted to wait it out
So I know that there is potential for me to change size so I'm not going to go crazy, though I'd get a black, nude and maybe a pretty set to keep me going! Along with a couple of proper sports bras.
So having really never worried or have worn bras properly in the past my questions are:
Will this suffice?
How often do you change/wash etc?
For work I usually wear a sports bra but don't really want to wear proper high impact gym ones so what would be a good alternative.
And following on from my sleep/braless ones what are good and comfy to sleep in long term.
I am so excited, shopping for clothes too and a rare weekend trip without our daughter xx

Re: Bras...
At one month, don't be alarmed if they don't sit right in a bra yet. They don't quite mould and fall into the cup as a natural breast would, so they may not fill it properly yet. This is why a balconette tends to suit an implanted breast. It's also why you can go up a cup when they fluff, as the implant 'fills out' at the bottom, thus filling a bra cup better. So yes, don't go mad on the first buy! Also, you might find you have to ease yourself into wires, especially if your scars are still tender. Build up wearing them over time if need be, and always keep a sports bra in your handbag!
Changing, washing is going to be down to your preference really. How often would you change your other clothes? One wear, two? Give it a sniff test ;) If you've just had a days wear, you can always rinse it out and dry over night. But you have to remember to mould them back into shape when drying (and tell your partner off every time he throws them at the bottom of the basket under his heavy tees so it gets all misshapen and you have to start again, grr)
Low impact 'yoga' bras would be fine, or anything in a bra shape. I love the Lonsdale ones from sports direct, but the sizes are limited in lower bands. Shop around til you find something that suits your needs. And if it's comfy enough, sleep in it! I wear my macom mostly at night but also my lonsdale or my Nike crop, which again is dead comfy, but a higher workout shape, so not so great under work wear.

Re: Bras...
Enjoy hun! I planned to do exactly the same as you and ended up with about 10 sets!!!! I don't think I needed that many though, your plan sounds perfect. I tend to wear my bras twice and then wash....but not sure if that's considered minging!! Don't usually wear 2 days running but do tend to hang up after 1st wear and then wear again once more before washing, or just shove them in the wash if wash day comes round first! Not sure if that's the right thing to do but figured I didn't want to over wash them and I'm quite a clean sweat free person!! I bought 2 pairs of nicks for each bra. For sleeping I'm still wearing my post op sports bras and occasionally I wear them on a normal day too. And then I have a concrete sports bra for exercise that means they don't budge! It's a panache one. Enjoy your weekend away....you definitely need a fancy set for that ;@) xx

absolutely You're being very sensible in your decision and Charlii has already mentioned, the Balconette is pretty much the best to buy for a first time bra with them allowing your new boobs to just sot in the cups as opposed to them trying to be foxed into positions from other bras such as the plunge or the push up when your boobs are pretty static at first. As your boobs gain more movement and start settling more, these boobs are more easy to wear then, but the Balconette is tops and looks really good for your first time bra.
Charlii also mentioned time time to break in your boobs. It's not the same for everyone, some pretty much mould right into bras straight from the get go....but they're the lucky ones. For most of us it's not that easy and you have to take it slow. Listen to your boobs and when they start to ache, take the nice bras off and back in the comfort of their sportsbra. I know it's a pain to be doing that, but the aching is always a warning, so if you do experience any aching do listen to it. I just started in mine for an hour a day and build the time up over months until I was able to wear my nice bras for as long as I liked. However....I still wear my sportsbra for bed, both for comfort and to help maintain the aesthetic appearance of my boobs too and it works! Well, it does for me, my boobs stayed just as they were right after healing four years ago. My first BA I didn't bother and I did compare and they definitely sagged in comparison to my second.
How often do you change/wash etc?
Well, that's entirely up to you. I'll maybe wear a bra for two days and it's in the wash, but I wouldn't stress, if you wanted the bra you're wearing clean for work or going out the following day it's so easy to come home, whip it off, wash it and have it dry for the following day, so I wouldn't stress about that Franbo.

I love my Triumph Extreme bra. Yes, it's high impact, but super comfy and low in the front too which is something that very much appealed to me too because like yourself the high fronts on sportsbra are not something I like either.
And following on from my sleep/braless ones what are good and comfy to sleep in long term.
It's got to be M&S's front fastening bras. Pair them with a pair of Knicks in a matching colour and your not just wearing your sports bras to bed, but you're wearing a super cute lil number that will make you feel nice and feminine too rather than matronly like other sports bras.

Awww have a lovely time both of you. Xxx[/quote]
Re: Bras...
I'm so glad you said that Charlii because I tried a bra on the other day and it just did not sit right. I'm not buying any bras at the moment, I'm pretty much still in sports bras. I'm 7 week and the nurse said about 8 weeks I can wear bras but not underwired. Xx
