Surgery at the end of the month! Questions!
Had a consultation with ps yesterday and have booked in for surgery at the end of the month!
I'm currently a small 34c and don't fill the cups like i used to before pregnancy! He has suggested I go for 375cc Allergan Inspira textured round ultra high profile with a sub fascial placement (this was the largest size he would go). He said he would see what my muscle was like during surgery and if the muscle is good he may go for a dual plane placement.
I'm a tad worried about the 'ultra' high profile he has suggested for me- I'm worried it will give me a fake/stuck on look... although I know this ps favours the natural look and this is what I want. I'm around 5'4'' and weigh 59kg and have an athletic build, size 8/10 .
Has any one had UHP with similar stats? Do they look natural?
Heeeeelp!!!

I don't have extra hp but I had similar concerns when choosing hp. My surgeon told me that he'd open me up, see how they looked compared to the photos I'd given him, and change the placement from subfascial to dual plane if he felt they would look too fake or didn't have enough tissue. So I think so long as he knows what look you want to achieve, you'll be fine! I have seen some photos of girls with xhp and they've looked lovely and natural!

In showing your surgeon pictures of the size & look you are hoping to achieve,
you can be sure they know exactly what you want & using their expertise they will then know the size/shape of implant needed to get that result for you.
Whether implants are anatomical , round , high profile..etc they can all achieve natural results & your surgeon using your unique measurements for your anatomy must feel that the UHP is needed in your case.
If at all concerned do make an appointment to see your surgeon again , even if it's just for reassurance. Let us know how you get on XXX

The profile directly relates to your breast width diameter. If you have a narrow BWD, it could be that UHP is the only size he can fit for that volume. A 375 mod will be the same volume, but flatter and wider.
I have XHP, and they're not stuck on, they're perfect for my body! They're going to look torpedo-like to begin with, but once they settle and start to drop and fluff, they'll take on a more teardrop shape and look just as natural as anything else.

did you request a dual plane placement Shivs?
Its unusual for a surgeon to 'see if the muscle is good' before deciding whether or not you can have this placement. For the most part if you're fortunate enough to be able to have overs (enough breast tissue) then this will likely always be a surgeons first choice. It's not about 'seeing if the muscle is good' hun, it's all about seeing if you naturally have enough coverage (breast tissue) for your implant. If your surgeon can't cover the implant naturally going over the muscle because there is little or no breast tissue... Then a decision to go partially under the muscle (dual plan - the muscle covers the implant in place of the breast tissue) would be the best way to go.
That's generally the rule of thumb surrounding placements.
In general those with a petite frame, or those who are very slender can opt for XHP. The reason for this is as Charlii suggested - because of the breast width diameter and from your stats you gave, you are in deed very petite, so they'd work for you because it's very likely you have a narrow breast width and these implants having the narrowest BWD of all the profiles, to get the perfect fit, your surgeon has decided this profile meets all of your measurement and these implants are going to give you the most natural look of the four profiles.I'm a tad worried about the 'ultra' high profile he has suggested for me- I'm worried it will give me a fake/stuck on look... although I know this ps favours the natural look and this is what I want. I'm around 5'4'' and weigh 59kg and have an athletic build, size 8/10 .
You can have a look at this thread to see everyones post-op stats Shivs. The thread gives women's stats, implant size and profile.Has any one had UHP with similar stats? Do they look natural?
Heeeeelp!!!
Do take note however Shivs when searching this thread that even if you find a women with exact same stats, exact same implant size/profile, the chances are that you'll likely have a completely different reassuring size.
This is is because if your anatomy which is unique to you and it the small difference that your surgeon takes into account when examining you that make us different and the reason why you'll get a different result. Xx

Thanks for your replies ladies. COOKIE, he said he is aiming for subfascial placement but will make the decision when he has seen how good the muscle is, he said if the muscle is good good and strong then he may go under. I was worried about rippling and higher rates of CC in having overs and also want to avoid a 'stuck on' look... This might is why he may go for dual plane x

There's pros and cons for both placements Shivs, so don't be fooled that one is better than the other sweetheart, it's not. What is best is the one that's right for 'you'
The subfacial is something relatively new and I actually like the sound of an 'inbetweeny' placement. It's something I'm going to discuss with my surgeon myself.
But you can actually read more on placements [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] if you'd like quoted from a respected BAAPS surgeon (he's still on the board) so you have a full understanding of both overs and partials X
