Pain in side of implant/under my arm Empty Pain in side of implant/under my arm

Post by gabriella101 8th September 2014, 6:25 am

Hi everyone,

So I just want to ask a question about pain. My left boob seems absolutely fine and a little squishy, but my right boob is very solid and large. I've got an aching pain on the right side of my implant, almost to my underarm in the solid boob and it's very painful. When I move it turns into a stabbing pain.

Is this normal? I am 4 days post op now.

Hi Gabriella

From all the reading and advice I've had on here, I think this is so normal for so soon after surgery.
I'm 9 days post op and my right side was fine but my left was hard and very sore..it's not so bad now.
All the pointers lead to breast implants settling at different times to each other and at different rates.

I have also read lots of women have a painful breast..correlating with whether they are left or right handed..so if you are right handed this might be what's causing your pain.

Hope you feel better soon xx

Absolutely normal. You have to remember you've had 2 separate Operations on each breast, so one may have suffered more trauma than the other. It's likely just a tad more swollen. Also, you're at the peak of pain/anesthetic wearing off, so it may just be more noticeable right now. Keep on top of your painkillers and try not to worry too much. It can take months before they actually even out.

As the ladies above Gabriella have already said, at just four days post-op this is very normal.

You may find this thread [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] of great help to you through the early post-op stages.

One other thing I would mention. If the larger boob does rapidly increase inside, or it feels very hot and you have a temperature, do call your clinic for advice hun. Xx
