Are you able to feel edges of your implants?
Had my first consultation with Mrs Kat yesterday. I was impressed by her and think I will go for a second consult with a view to using her for my BA if I do go ahead. One thing she did mention is that because I have very little tissue it is common to feel the edges of the implants on the outer edge and underneath. Do you have this and if so was is it like? Does it look or feel horrible would it make a difference to you if you couldn't feel it? Thanks x

She's lovely, isn't she?! I really liked her, but decided to go with Mr McGeorge instead. Did she say she'd do unders or overs for you? My first consultation (NHS) said unders, the second, Mr McGeorge said 270 unders (which is what I went with) and Mrs Kat said overs - either 250, 270 or 300. I actually ended up not going with her partly because I was so worried about being able to see/feel the implant with overs, as both the other surgeons I'd seen said I didn't have enough tissue for overs. Mrs Kat seemed to think overs would be fine, and from what I've heard, it's her preference to do them where she can.
Do you have any other consultations lined up? Personally, I'd get at least one, and ideally two more, with BAAPS registered surgeons to get some more opinions on it. I can't feel the edges of mine, but that might be because they're so new, but I think it's fairly normal to be able to feel the implant a bit. Mrs Kat has a great reputation, so I'm sure it'd be fine, but definitely get some other opinions too x

I have overs and can only feel slightly when I bend forward in my cleavage. Even with unders they are usually only partially under so it's still possible to feel the end under your breasts.

I can feel mine at the bottom edge but only when I feel for it if you know what I mean! You wouldn't stumble across it during a normal fondle!!

Yes, but only if I'm looking for it! They're not stuck on with a clear edge, but if I'm having a poke around I can.

Re: Are you able to feel edges of your implants?
Thank you all (for about the twentieth time today!) Yes Ella I really liked her. She recommended unders for me (I hardly have anything to speak of!) and either 185, 215 or 245. I really liked the 245 size but am worried they'll look huge even without clothes. I guess I'd rather err on the side of caution and go a little smaller and still pad them up if I feel I want to but then I guess I may get the dreaded boob greed! Also I only tried the sizers so I think going back I'd like to see an equivalent implant as she measured the implant size I'd need and therefore the width wont change, just the projection. So I want to understand what this looks like in practice rather than just with sizers - I'm not sure how accurate they are.
She did say to go for the bigger size if I was undecided between two as I'll lose a little under the muscle so that is a consideration too.
I've also seen Rajiv Grover who made the same recommendation as Mrs Kat which makes me feel happy - except he didn't suggest PURE implants and so now that's the next thing to do research on! Good Boob Bible arrived today so will be devouring that tonight!

Re: Are you able to feel edges of your implants?
It's really difficult working out sizes, isn't it? I decided that the 300s were a bit too noticeable, so went for 270s. I liked the 270 and 250 sizers, and I think because they're unders, they're so far looking more similar to the 250s than the 270s, so do plan for losing a bit of volume! Sounds like a good plan seeing if you can try with the actual size implants though, the sizers aren't the most helpful for giving an idea of how the volume will be dispersed! x
