Re: new bras
Hi Lyndsey. Your surgeon should have given you an indication as to when you can wear wired bras again. Its normally between 6-12 week, but your boobs can keep changing for up to a year, so just because they are one size now, doesn't mean they still will be in a few months. Mine went DD at 8wk to E at 6month.
All bras will FIT differently (we don't use measure here!) depending on the shape, style and fabrics etc. I even have two bras from the same brand, both push up plunge, one in a D and one in an E. So its always best to try on and get fitted into bras wherever you shop. However, be wary of the stores, as some will 'measure' you incorrectly and add the 4/5", which is not necessary. I'd take the Bravissimo fit as a starting point, and then try bras from there in that size and sister sizes for the best fit for you.

Re: new bras
I bought a few new underwired bras at 6 weeks post op as surgeon advised me this was ok. I was given some money for my birthday and couldn't wait to spend it. However I am now 12 weeks post op and my boobs have dropped, softened and changed in that time so finding that the bras fit differently now. I've found that I am different sizes in different brands & styles so best to try on to find the right fit. I so enjoy bra shopping now so don't mind trying lots on!

Re: new bras
I was given the all clear to wear underwires at 6 weeks but my surgeon said don't spend a fortune on new bras as they will keep changing. I found balcony the best for me got a few off eBay. X
