Implant repositioning
Hi all
Haven't been on here for ages and totally forgot how to work so fingers crossed I'm doing it right :)
Anyways I'm now nearly 9 months post op and not happy with results have been back to see surgeon many times and at today's appointment after breaking down in tears has said he would reposition the right breast implant, has anyone has this done and can let me know what to expect ? Pain?recovery? And anything else that might be useful
Thanks :) xx

Re: Implant repositioning
Welcome back Sara
When you say 'reposition the implant' do you mean a 'pocket revision' to position the implant higher/lower on your breast?
If you do then its a pretty straight forward op with a pretty quick recovery. You'll be just fine Sara. Xx

Hi thanks for the reply
I presume that's what he's planning on doing as I have one breast that has dropped lower than the other, my head was such a mess At today's appointment I
didn't really take much in :( , still in shock he agreed to a revision op x

Re: Implant repositioning
Sorry to hear you have to have revision, I've had pocket revision for bottoming out where the implant dropped too far also.
It was a quicker more painless recovery. Good luck when have you got it booked for? Xx

Re: Implant repositioning
How long PO are you?
Hate the feeling when you know something ain't right but there's nothing you can do about it
Hopefully it'll all go well for you. I was completely shocked that the surgeon and the THG agreed to do the revision (they normally try there best to get out of it).
Will def keep you posted but I have the worst memory ever so please remind me if I forget x

Re: Implant repositioning
Came home today, found out surgeon done pocket revision and another nipple lift but also had a drain put in this time which was worrying at 1st especially after being told how it comes out although it wasn't actu that painful it felt really weird...am I now left with a hole? (Until it heals obviously lol) also got a real bad pain in Hand from cannula after some anti sickness med that got put in hurt some much it had to be diluted, so now can't use either arm but apart from that I'm doing ok haha
