Measuring confusion
It's just occurred to me that I don't need to wait until the 6 week check to get measured before I have an idea of my size - I've got a tape measure lol
Just checked on here - http://www.breastaccessories.co.uk/content/how-to-measure-your-bra-size
The week before my op I was fitted at John Lewis as a 34b. This online guide says I'm now a 32E!! If I look at any other guide it suggest a 36b!!??!!
I'm 31.5 inches under bust and 38 inches across the bust. The thing I don't get is that I tried on some bras in Tesco at the weekend (was dying to get an idea of size!!) and even the 34d didn't fit properly in the cup, the fabric was a bit wrinkly so I thought this was because the cup size was too big. Now I think about it, could it be because my new boobs are still sitting so high and firm so don't sit right in the bra? I just don't get it but I'm sure I'm neither a 32E or a 36B.

Re: Measuring confusion
I had exactly the same. Bout a week post op, went to M&S to try on some 34D bras and they were all wrinkly. Its because its the wrong band size. Its all to do with volume. And also, this early, you've hit the nail on the head. Theyre not sitting like proper boobs, theyre high and tight, so theyre not going to be filling that lower cup just yet.
Online conversions are a crime against women, do not use them. Had me at a 36A!
I would agree, as I said in my other post. 32/38 measures you at a 32E. You might not think you 'look' it, but the sizes never lie. Theres going to be sister sizes and bra dependants of course, but its a good starting point. I measure the same, and wear anything from 32E, 32DD, 32D, 34D depending on the bra. Trust me - you're E for enormous boobs!! Don't worry about the bra size too much though, its all about how they look on you. Plus once you can, you'll be fitted into a bra, rather than measured.

I know it's not about the bra size but it definitely gives you a boost to be even considering those kind of sizes. I just don't think I can get my head around the idea of being a 32E! I'm looking forward to them softening and being able to be measured by a professional. I think only on being fitted could I really believe it lol

Re: Measuring confusion
This post just shows how much cup size perception can be way off! I went into my op wanting a full C cup, I have what I think looks like a full C but measure 30E/F.The link you posted for measuring is pretty accurate , I have tried it and for me it's spot on.
Sure is a confidence boost having fab new boobs and won't be too long before you can have fun spoiling them with all the lovely bra's that are out there. XXX
