1 week check
I went for my 1 week check today and have to say I feel like a new woman!
Firstly the nurse took off the bandages which they had wrapped round and round and round (and round and round) my boobs, YAY I could move!
Then she took off the plasters which hadn't agreed with my skin and caused my skin to blister. The plasters were also stuck to the dried blood so it wasn't the nicest experience but she cleaned me up nicely and put new, smaller plasters on, YAY I felt clean and could move even more!
Then she told me to go home and put a bra on and that she couldn't understand why I'd been told not too, YAY I feel supported.
All in all I must say the difference between how I felt last night and how I feel to might is amazing. I know the road to recovery isn't the quickest but I finally feel like I'm on it!
Hope all you ladies are doing well, x

Just moving this so more girls see it :)
Ah, that's excellent news, so please for you.
I hate to be the black cloud but...if your surgeon said no bra, you really should stick to your surgeons advice and not the nurse. It could invalidate your aftercare. If at all possible, try and get hold of the surgeon, and speak to him again, saying the nurse said this, is it ok. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks charlii. I noticed after I posted it that it was in the wrong place. I will phone in the morning and see if I can speak to him.

Absolutely! For the first 3 days I was really regretting having it done. Didn't think it was worth the pain. But now I'm over the pain a I've seen them without the plasters all over them I love them! Definitely worth it! x
