Strange feeling in my left Breast Empty Strange feeling in my left Breast

Post by Joharry1 22nd April 2014, 7:52 pm

Not really sure how to describe the feeling in my left breast but it feels strange. It is behind the nipple area and every so often when I move or bend it feels like either the implant is moving slightly. It doesn't hurt if anything it's like an annoying tickling - I'm 15 days post op now and wondering if feeling a movement sensation is normal?
Sorry if it sounds confusing, it's just so hard to describe x
Thanks in advance Jo x

It could be fluid or trapped air bubbles, that's giving the sensation Hun. These will disperse and absorbed naturally by he body in the next few weeks x

Thank you Mrs Ball x I know we all worry about the slightest of things so hopefully you are right x I did think maybe fluid but because it's only been for the past 3 days or so I didn't think it could be x

It's very common tho,  and nothing to worry about,  it isn't permanent

If you're feeling movement if the implant inside the breast its most likely due to the implant not yet having adhered to the breast pocket.

To this the breast needs 'stability' so if you're wearing cheaper sportsbras, or there's a possibility the one you're wearing isn't a good fit, its best to to check your straps and the band (only two fingers should be able to fit between the band and your skin, any looser and you need a smaller band size). Ensure your boobs are getting the very best support. Ensure you have a good quality high impact sportsbra and restrict movement of your arms. So if you don't 'need' to stretch or lift things (you shouldn't be lifting heavy things anyway) then don't.

The less moment you use of your upper body and the better the support, the implant than has the best opportunity to adhere to the pocket. Once its done that you shouldn't feel the move my anymore.

If you're still experiencing this sensation after a couple of weeks then it would be best to seek advise from your surgeon and have your concerns noted (ensure the surgeon writes 'exactly' what your concerns are)

Krizzooo, at 5 months babe, I'd seek advise from your surgeon if you're feeling the implant moving beneath the skin. Xx
