Macom bras
I was just wondering. I know I may sound like I'm being thick but with the macom bras is it as easy as 'under my boobs measures 31 inches so I'm a medium'? x

While I'm on here, could anyone tell me how to get my ticker to work? x

No idea about macoms but Did you copy the right link for your ticker? I did mine today and there were 2 options to copy & paste depending what it was for. I chose the one that referred to forums and it seems to have worked x

Re: Macom bras
Hi Hun, a macom is simple. Measure your band, so 31 inches, so you want a small. I measure 31 1/2 and bought a small at it fits perfectly. I did buy a medium from someone off here for the first week when I was most swollen but have not needed it since as the small fits well. You don't have to worry about the cup size as it expands up to a J cup.
Check with your surgeon that you can wear one thought before spending out on one as some surgeons want you to wear non supportive bras etc so best to check first. Xx

Have you been told to get a Macom. I was about to order one and checked with the clinic and they said my surgeon didn't want me in one. Just a sports bra which I can take off and have a break from if needed. I'd check first as they aren't cheap x

Re: Macom bras
I've just posted on the uplift page about what type of bra to use. I was forgetting I'm having an uplift too so not sure what type to use. When I went for a consultation with a different surgeon he said a back fastening shock absorber. Why would he say a back fastening instead of a front fastening? I've really confused myself about bras now, x

Re: Macom bras
Do I need to ask the surgeon or will the care coordinator know? My surgeon isn't back at birmingham until the day after my op so I don't think I can speak to him, x

Re: Macom bras
Your care co-ordinator should know babe, best to check exactly what they want you to have as macoms and sports bras can be expensive so you don't want to spend out on stuff that you don't need. Xx
