Hey!

Thought it'd be nice the the girls who just got done to have a vent thread. I seem to keep spilling my feelings on everyone else's questions!

So today is my day two. I loved yesterday, slept ok last night but really struggled with sleeping upright and slipped down quite a lot. Shuffling is tough, can I really not use my arms a bit? Lol shuffling keeps giving me a wedgie!!!!haha!

Today I thought I was just a bit tighter but I sat up and all the blood rushed to the twins and that took my breath away a little.  Ouch!

I've had cereal in bed and taken my meds feel a bit better now. I'm
Lucky as I've got mum fussing over me and no kids so I guess it's easier for me.

I'm scared I've gone too small. I can't wait to see them. Ones deffo bigger than the other but I'm not concerned about that yet.

Does anyone else have itchy dressings? Just a little scratchy? Also quite dehydrated and I can't go to the loo :( this boob job stuff is so glamorous! Lol

Rant away ladies, I find this helped lol xx

I find it hard to shuffle up and down the bed too without using arms to push down on the mattress etc, so hard to get comfy!

My band isn't scratchy thank god I think that would drive me round the bend!! It's very tight though! Seems to be squishing my new boobies in a bit!! I want to set them free! Ha xx

Lol yeah get a bit of air on the old nip nips!!

Can u feel them? I can hold my boon on top of the macom and the nipple and bit of flesh around it are squishy and the rest of the boob is solid as a rock. Do u think that's normal?

Hope ur not too emotional today, I feel my tears getting ready. But happy emotional too. Like a happy crying drunk!!  Hysterical  Hug

Ah lovely Avi!!

Nope can't loosen it at all it just fastens with Velcro at the front. As my boobs are swelling it seems to slip down slightly :(

I don't think you will have saggy nipples ! Mine seem to be pointing down with how the bands holding them bit surgeon said they will rise as boobs drop and fluff xx

Hey Jensk. The squishy bits are you breast tissue! The implant itself will be solid at the moment, but over the coming months it will soften to almost the same squishiness, so absolutely normal!

If your surgeons want you supported you need to be kept in nice and tight for the implant to adhere to the pocket, so no airing your nips just yet ladies! You'll get to once you've got the shower all clear. Jensk, is it your support bra digging in? Put some panty liners/sanitary towels over your incisions (sticky side out obvs), it'll help cushion them.

Itchy is good, it means its healing. Drink plenty of water, and if you've not 'gone' by day 3, try some lactulose to get things shifting.

I wont lie, its going to be bumpy for the next couple of days, but by day5 you should start evening out emotionally a bit!

Yup. I had minimal breast tissue, but around my nips it still sometimes feels puffy compared to the rest if they're not standing to attention!

Princessgem, your surgeons absolutely right, as they drop and fluff, and the 'goo' drops into the lower pole, the incision will sit better in the crease and your nip will start to sit in a more natural and perky position. Its just because of the full roundness at the moment that it makes it point down.

Also has anyone else had a temperature? My mum says I feel quite warm and wanted me to ask if that's normal? Xx

There is no 'wrong' for post op, it will differ girl to girl, surgeon to surgeon. Princessgem looks to be in a full breast compression band. I had unders and was in a top breast compression back and support bra, to help push the implants into place. Its more common with unders than overs. If your surgeon has only recommended a support bra, then that's all you need for your recovery.

The GA will have messed with your hormones, so being quite hot can be normal. However, check your internal temperature, and if you feel feverish at all, contact your clinic.

Post by Tilliex 4th April 2014, 9:50 am

Hi all :) I'm post-op day 2 and I'm finding it quite hard to catch my breath still. I managed to sleep 6 hours solid last night with only one set of painkillers which I'm happy with! I too am finding it hard to shuffle around on my bed: made harder still by the cats thinking my mountain of pillows is for them! I keep waking up hot and sweaty too, Jensk and find myself needing a 0.5l bottle of water every few hours but I think that's just the GA effecting my temperature. Boobs still rock solid and lefty is numb on the outside.. righty is numb on the inside (where the cleavage should be). Got a slight case of monoboob today but that's just the swelling as I slipped down too far last night during sleep and was essentially lying on my back but with my neck up against 4 pillows. I had unders and am in no support whatsoever. Just got a Belvia on... it's comfortable but the band rubs against my incisions sometimes which can sting! Overall though I'm doing okay I think :) xxx

Seems weird I have to keep my legs covered for a week but my boobs are free to dangle wherever they please! haha I need something for it too :/ don't fit in my pyjamas anymore... have to borrow my mum's from before she lost weight. I'm in size 18 today which is a little different from the 10/12 I usually am! xxx

I took my stocking off last night when I got home from the hospital. As long as you're walking around and getting your blood moving you should be fine without them.

Hehe I know TIllex I'm snugly fitting into size 18 primary pjs today. I'm usually a 12, 14 if I want baggy (which I always do) I feel huge. Belly looks 7 months pregnant and is rock solid too. Mums making be beans on toast now in a desperate effort to send me into labour lol  Hysterical So embarrassing!

I will put my temp down to hormones then, it's not too high. I haven't had a bath yet have you guys? Baby wipes washed but no bath, I feel too low on energy but also covered in post GA grime and could go for a nice bubble bath but it won't be that nice.

Mine are like torpedoes. Not really mono, I think underscore so much different. I feel for u Hun I've heard it's more painful than overs too.

Had your cry yet?

Haven't cried yet no! Too painful to laugh or cry! I really badly want a bath too... Thinking about running a shallow one so my incisions don't get wet but I don't know how I'd get myself out the tub when I'm done :S. I'm working my way through amaretti biscuits and pepperamis so at the moment I'm a happy - if very chubby - bunny :P

Yep mine are dissolvable too but it says on my hospital notes that I have to have them removed.. I presume they just mean they'll cut off the bits that haven't dissolved yet. Had my shallow bath and got mum to wash my hair - very useful those mums are haha! Feeling lots better after that xxx
