new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
HI everyone....Had my op 25th march ( 3 days ago) so glad I have found this site .I no it will help me with any issues I come across(well hopefully not). I have been in lot pain and discomfort over last 3 days but today I have felt a bit better and managed with no painkillers upto now.I no this sounds a little strange but I am feeling a little scarred off my new boobs. I have no regrets and am pleased very much but I feel very fragile and find it hard to look at them and touch. I have even asked my husband to look and check them every night for any changes ( which you are ask to look for in early days especially) as I feel like I dearnt look at them .I no its strange thing to think but did anyone else feel same please. I am thinking that I am scared incase something is to go wrong even tho my op is done and also because off the cuts under breasts. Am I been silly !!!1
kind regards to all

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
Thank you for your reply. Gives me a bit of reassurance. I have just found site tonight so am just finding my way around it but have already found some useful info. And now I no if any issues there are people I can talk/ ask on site. Funny you have mentioned twinges as that is one off the other reasons I joined site to ask people about the twinges.I have a few questions ect I want to ask on forum once I have a little more time I can fire away. well hopefully I will get to talk to some nice helpful people on here including yourself and will give me a lot more understanding and reassurance in my recovery
thank you again

Hi Joanne, like Tink said what you are feeling is totally normal. I am only 3 weeks post op today and in the first few days I kept thinking mine would fall off when I took my macom off!
This site is amazing and you will find some really useful information on here and the girls are simply amazing. Xx

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
Hi and well me Joanne , first of all congrats on your ba.
Day 3/4 is when the swelling will kick in along with a touch of boobie blues. A ba journey and recovery is a rollercoaster with an up and down of emotions.
Your new boobs will feel a little alien at first and look a little frankenboob! Many women who go in having a ba think they'll wake up with perfectly formed dropped boobs.
In reality they're hard, far apart, tender, swollen and feel numb.
All the emotions you're feeling are normL Hun .
There's nothing to be scared of Hun, maybe get your husband to take some photos for you every few days Instead so I. Another few weeks when you look in a mirroe you can see the changes that have already happened and go back through your pictures.
It's a great way of seeing the healing and dropping process your boobs will go through the next few months .
As for seeing your scars or insions it's quite normal, some ladies don't like seeing or feeling them. Don't worry you don't have to . Do it when you feel ready .
Enjoy the forum Joanne x

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
Hi hun. Welcome to the forum.
Lots of great advice already. I'm 6 weeks post op on Sunday and my leftie still aches and hurts every so often. Getting some shooting pains too but this is all normal. I can do most things now (haven't tried press ups yet) without pain.
The boobs will change gradually over the weeks and months to come

Welcome to Breast Buddies Joanne,
You've come to the right place , we've got a lovely bunch of ladies here who are always more than happy to answer any questions so just post away it's never long before someone is around to offer advice and reassure you .
It can take a while to get used to your new additions especially when you are early post op they can look quite strange and not what you were expecting them to look and feel like, once they have all settled over the coming weeks and months they will feel apart of you and look just fab! XXX

Nerves reconnecting Hun, they've been cut and disrupted so all the pains and sensations you're feeling are just nerves . Ice packs or frozen peas placed over your bra (no where near insions) will help instantly relieve the discomfort x

Hi Jo- this site is brilliant. We have all been through what you are experiencing now.
For the first week I felt like I had hot stone in my leftie, and as it happened I managed to knock this boob too but all was fine. We treat our new twins like bags of gold and it's normal to feel paranoid and worried about everything new that's happening.Wishing you a happy healing xx

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
I felt exactly like you do. Days 3-5 were my worst.
I definitely had post op blues and even regretted doing it for quite a while. I refused to look at them or touch them or let my husband see them.
I'm not used to feeling so "useless" while I was recovering and having people do things for me was difficult.
The swelling and pain didn't help but honestly start getting so much better after about day 5.
I'm now 3.5 weeks post op and am only now getting a bit more used to the new additions.
So you're not alone. Wishing you a smooth recovey x

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
Its made me feel a lot better today after posting on here . thankyou all so much. I have been in house since coming home weds but I am going to get myself ready and go out visiting tomorrow and that is all thanks to your replys putting me at ease. I am at hospital for dressing changed Monday as will be a week and then I wait another week and my consultant will then see me and remove dressing hopefully for good. I have my cuts under breasts. My implants are over the muscle. They are 450cc round moderate profile gel breast cohesive. I was a 34b/c cup and hoping I will end up a dd . they look like this size now but I no I have time to go before I no what I end up. If I am honest I did reaseach about this op the basics but I didn't realise until reading on here there is lots I may or may have to go through yet. Hopefully it will be a speedy recovery for me and all off you who are going through recovery to.I wanted my bust filling out rather than more bigger which this has achieved although of course I am a bigger aswell.
best wishes all and I will at some point put a face to my name lol

Re: new to site . 3 days since op. feel fragile
hi tinkerbell
I wanted d/dd and also I was empty at top so my main aim was to be filled out but same time go up couple sizes. To be honest when I look down on them they don't look big but when I look in mirror they do so I am quite looking forward to getting measured. I am hating the bra your provided it seems to be squashing me and tight but I no its what has to be worn. Going to ask tomorrow if it will be ok to change to sport bra xx
best wishes
