HI Girls,
This may sound fairly stupid .
BUT you know after surgery and people say "feels like an elephant sitting on my chest", do you mean a heavy feeling.. are you still able to breathe properly..
I have a phobia of stuff like this haha!! but i will get through it for my boobies sake, how long would you say it lasts.. im a right panik-err!!

Re: What does it feel like
I never felt the heaviness for the pain lol well the first time round after my reop I felt nothing at all
I was so sore the first time that I really did worry but some people just have more pain than others, and I do have a high pain threshold as I delivered my first daughter drug free and it really wasnt bad then my second birth was section and my spinal wore off and I felt every cut etc but I wanted to stay awake so breathed through it lol but I lost so much blood I went into shock so they had to out me under
SO I never actually had that heavy feeling that people talk about xx

Re: What does it feel like
Everyone has different experiences babe, you may not even have that feeling. I'm guessing that statement is just an expression of like.... 'My chest is feeling heavy'. Xx

Re: What does it feel like
I never felt like that, it was more just sore and achy. Nothing you can't deal with. I found it felt heavy after because it literally was. You're body isn't used to the new weight immediately, so it takes time. But never can't breath tight/heavy

Re: What does it feel like
Hi Hun, for me the only pain I had was in my sides and arms but it felt like something sitting on my chest (above my boobs), like a lot of pressure pressing down. This has eased up today (day 3). Everyone will have a different experience so don't panic about it at all Hun. Xx

Re: What does it feel like
I can relate to the elephant sitting on my chest kind of feeling.. For me for about a week after my op I found it difficult to breathe.. I couldn't breathe heavily and therefore had to completely rest so i didn't raise my heat rate. I couldn't speak loudly and sometimes had to speak very quitely because i felt i was straining my chest. I described my pain as feeling like I'd had two bricks put inside me and been sewn up. It really was a painful experience for me. However, I started off with NO breast tissue so i'm guessing that might have contributed to the pain of it all.. You're starting off with some breast tissue so you may not experience the absolutr tightness of it all. Everyone's different.. Don't worry about it, though, babe, the excitement will totally outweigh any pain! :) :) xxxxx

Re: What does it feel like
For the first 2 days it was difficult to deep breathe but today that has gone and I can deep breathe properly no problem. The heavy feeling is only temporary of you get it so don't panic. Any pains and heaviness is so outweighed by looking at the new boobs! Xx

No problem, babe!! You'll be fine! You'll be far too happy and excited to even really notice the pain anyway.. Hopefully the GA will knock you out for a good week as well! I slept like a newborn baby for the first 2 weeks after my op. That GA worked wonders haha!xxxx

Re: What does it feel like
I never felt that heaviness Hun, my chest felt tight and sore but not a weird feeling I could tell it was from the skin being tight kind of thing. Take lots of deep breaths afterwards and you'll feel much better, it helps your lungs after the GA too xx

Re: What does it feel like
Hey Ambz, I never felt any heaviness at all and very mild discomfort the first few days. Try not to worry too much about it - every one is different and you will react different from everyone else. Just go with it and you will be fine hun :D xx

Re: What does it feel like
I think it depends if you've had kids or not.
Imo cause when your milk comes in your boobs feel heavy and tight and alot of pressure so have already stretched???
Well that's my opinion anyway x
