LuciaH wrote:Hi Hun, I am not an April girl, I am a march girl but your welcome to see my picture trail if you want too. Must warn you I took loads of photos and set up daily albums to see my progress every day over the first few weeks. XxNewby1987 wrote:Ok so 2 days, 11 hours and 45 minutes!!! Freaking out here!!
Flying home to UK tomorrow eve so just one more day at work, one more day of making up lies as to why I'm going home for so long!
I have to be at Three Shires for 7:30am on Thursday, so I think I have to fast from midnight (all my paperwork is in the UK) I feel so un-prepared, haven't been doing anything in the build up like using bio oil or anything but it is too late for me to start worrying about any of that now as it is nearly time for the twins arrival!
Would love to have a peek if any of your April girls have a picture trail set up yet? Just to see what to expect in the initial days!
I know that I get put into a Macom after surgery, no bandages just tape over the incisions I think! It does not feel real, I'm 27 and this is something I have debated for a long time but it doesn't feel like I am actually going through with it!
Sorry I just always chime in here and there with my woes! I am really enjoying hearing everyone's progress though and us April girls having our day :) xxx
That would be great, thanks so much Lucia! Having a similar size too xx

Aw that's good, I know what you mean I am dreading the waiting game. Did you have much pain?
Just looked at your picture trail, looking fab!! Bet you can't wait to have a proper look!
Are you able to use your arms much like for brushing your hair and stuff? I am so paranoid about things like washing/drying my hair, well I go back to work 13 days post op so surely by then I'll be ok!!
Just one more day at work then flying over tomorrow eve, I will probably be glued to this page like a mad woman on weds!! Thanks so much again xx

Re: April Buddies
Every one is different for the pain and being able to do things. Have a read through the boob job diaries to see how people have been Hun. I was washing my hair myself on day 5 but I know others that could not do it for over a week or more. I was driving again on day 9 but only short distances. Re: April Buddies
Morning girls!
So I flew in from Dublin last night and have woke up bright & early with one thing on my mind BOOBS!
Op is tomorrow and starting to freak out!! It's a weird nervous energy but still hasn't sunk in at the same time!!
Reading all of your stories and seeing everyone's progress has helped so much so thanks
Just going to try and relax and get last minute bits today and do some pampering!!
I have pretty much everything, new dressing gown, pjs & slippers (very exciting!!). Have a V pillow. Going to get some mags etc. Can anyone think of anything else?
Having last minute concerns that the 360cc will take me too big, wanting a natural look - C cup. But I was happy with them at sizing so think I just need to trust the team and relax!
One last stupid question.....so I can't have nail polish on my fingers for the op so that the anaesthetist can check my nails haven't gone blue! But can I still have it on my toes??
24 hours and 45 mins I'll be at the hospital OMG!!
Thanks again for all the support so far xxx

Re: April Buddies
Are you staying over night? I've got myself a bottle of ginger beer as when I'm ill it perks me up, flavoured water and lucozade to take in. Jelly babies incase I feel like I need sugar and a little cheese and brushetta snacks. May not feel like any of it but thought I'd take them just incase. Feeling nervous now eeeekk. I literally haven't stopped x

Re: April Buddies
I was told I could keep my nails on as long as they are clear. They never mentioned toe nails. I think sometimes the put those stockings on anyway during operations so maybe ring up and check then you don't need to take it off if you don't have to.

Ah ok that's good! Are you staying over night?
I've to be there at 7:30am tomorrow but like you it's only 20 mins away thank god!
No I haven't got arnica. My surgeon doesn't like you using it, funny how they're all different!!
What size implant are you going for?x

Re: April Buddies
Newby1987, it might be worth getting some Arnica gel for the days to come after your op hun. Keep it in the fridge so its nice and cold, and when your boobs are feeling hot and swollen put some on your boobs (stay away from incisions) and you will feel instant relief. xx

Re: April Buddies
No problem Hun, I got some senna tablets too just incase I needed a little help with going to the toilet. And some antihistamines for when your incisions start to get itchy.Newby1987 wrote:Hi Lucia,

Re: April Buddies
I didn't have my snacks or drinks one or two jelly babies but probably just because I threw up my brew.
Little confused, when I got out of bed one of the nurses noticed I wasn't using my arms to get back in and said I should be. She's not my nurse but I thought we shouldn't really be using them. If I'd have pushed myself in with them it would have killed. Any thoughts?
Also I haven't bruised well from what I can see. Surgeon said there wouldn't be. When does it usually come out? Xxx

Re: April Buddies
I only had a tiny bit of bruising come out on day 5, it was a yellow bruise in the middle of my boobs and a tiny yellow bruise on the sides of my boobs. Some girls don't bruise and some do quite bad.
I didn't really use my arms as they hurt so much, but it used the bum shuffle to get in and out of bed. Xx

Ooh that's good I had partials to and surgeon said there shouldn't be much if any bruising but I have my arnica incase.
I've been using my arms a little but I think I'd scream if I put my weight on them to get into bed. Can't be a good idea to put that much strain on them x

I didn't take arnica tablets as I forgot, but I used the gel straight from the fridge to out in them when they were hot and swollen for instant relief.
Trying to out the weight of our bodies on those arms straight away is not good. Try the bum shuffle, hold your boobs as you do it. Getting in and out of bed gets easier after a few days I promise. Xx

Re: April Buddies
Yes I must remember to put my gel in the fridge when I get back. Which day was worse for you? I don't know if this counts as day two for me I came out of theatre around 7ish I think. Although I was adamant I hadn't been operated on lol. So really still in my first 24 hours. Boobs feel like someone's sitting on them that's the worse pain armpits and below are like a gym pain I suppose. Only on ibuprofen and paracetamol. I thought they might give something stronger x
