Re: arnica pills
Hi, honey!
My nurse told me about these before my op and she said that a lot of girls may take them after their operation. She said it really doesn't matter if I take them or not.
I ended up just taking cocodamol and the antibiotics provided by Transform clinic and I found that I was fine with just these :)
Ask your nurse before you're due to have your op, babe!
Good luck xxxx

Re: arnica pills
They are supposed to prevent bruising but its a homeopathic remedy so no evidence to say it actually works. My surgeon recommended I take them 3 times a day for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after surgery. I have took them before all 3 ops and had minimal bruising.

Re: arnica pills
I was recommended them before surgery, as was my hubby, but there's no proof they work. I bruised loads, but then I don't know if it was less than if I hadn't taken them. Who knows. Can't hurt

Re: arnica pills
My surgeon did NOT recommend.
I had NO BRUISING only a bit on my hand of all places from the cannula ... a little under my pits from my drains. That is all, I was pleasantly surprised.
I think unless something is proven to work, I wouldn't take it.
Up to you entirely if your PS is ok for you to take it.

Re: arnica pills
I bought some yesterday in prepaeration for my BA on the 15th... I have used arnica loads before (when I've got a bruise on my legs and im due to go on a night out etc..) they've always worked for me, I also bought some arnica cream, my surgeon said use any cream it doesn't matter as long as you use one, so I have chosen that aswell. you can also get arnica cream which also cools it down. I heard they can get hot and sore.
I haven't been told no supplements or anything so... but not yet had a pre op consultation yet ^^ good luck :D
