Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
Hi, has any one had there BA then fell pregnant?
Did you need a re-op?
Reason I ask is I'm 19 , 20 in May and want a BA, I will want kids in the future , will I need to have a BA redone or is there ways you can look after your boobs when pregnant.
( I know I may/will need re-ops in future but is pregnancy one of the reasons why)
Thanks girls

Yes most girls need a re-op after pregnancy as pregnancy changes your boobs, can make them saggier and not look as good x

Re: Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
Pregnancy can be a reason you need a re op But it'll only because of a change of aesthetic appreance.
I'd had my 1st ba then fell pregnant with my daughter albeit a few years later however for me it changed the look , they sagged slightly and just lost that full rounder look, they actually looked Extremly natural, however for me I liked the fullness and faker look so had them re auged. Very soon after.
Other reasons for re ops include, complications, rupture, bottoming out, pocket revision for held implants, flipping implants this can happen at any time you have the implants aftercare is important as it can ofer free re ops in SOME cases, however please bear in mind you will need a few re ops in your life having them at aged 20.

Pregnancy can change the whole shape of your body, so even if you get lucky and the boobs are still good, they might no longer suit your body shape, so its highly likely you'd need one post baby. But then its recommended to replace them every 10 or so years anyway

I have 2 friends who had their boobs done at 21..and 22 yrs .... Now they both have children.... they wish they had waited for BA and one is considering re-op (8 yrs on).
Definitely needs lots of thought. Great that you are thinking of these things though hun.
Best wishes

Re: Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
I've had two more children since I had my boobs first done and they still looked good after pregnancy etc, only very slight sagging in one boob. I'm only having mine replaced due to rotation and cc. Up until this happened they still looked pretty good. I remember my surgeon asking if I'd completed my family though which at the time I thought I had!! Chances are you'll need your implants changed at some point around ten year mark anyway I would think x

Im sure i read, if you wear a sports bra through pregnancy and look after them theyll still be good, not as good as they were but still pretty good as your saying.. Also i read if you breast feed with a BA this can cause them to sag more?

Not nessarly true Hun, you can wear a sports bra , moisteise however pregnancy causes your boobs to swell and grow, once your milk has gone your boobs will revert back to their original size with a bit of deflation . Change in hormone, skin stretching natural aging is all going to contribute to your boobs not maintains their aesthetic look post pregnancy and that with or without a ba x

Your post pregnancy boos is all down to your skins elasticity. If you have good elasticity then there's a good chance your body might just snap back to how you were pre-op. The younger you are the better skins elasticity. But if you don't have great skin elasticity such as I, then its not going to snap back, its going to cause possible sagging and stretch marks. I was on 22 when I had my first child, but I just don't have the great skin that some women do. My sister-in law was pregnant at the same time as me, has a model figure, tall slim, absolutely beautiful. She walked out of the hospital on the same day as she gave birth in the jeans she wore post pregnancy. No stretch marks, no sagging breasts - nothing! She looked great! I had my son a month later, packed my jeans all ready for leaving the hospital. Had my baby, looked down and thought "what the heck happened?! My boobs were huge with milk, my stomach was still huge. The thought of getting back into my jeans right them was just a dream for me and it didn't come true for a long time down the road. It took a while for my body to recovery from pregnancy and when it did, I had stretch marks, my boobs had sagged and I never dreamed it would be that way. But it was. And that's with all the massage and because I was a new mum I did was one of those mums that had all the baby books and wore the right bras I supposed to moisturised with all kinds of creams - but if you just don't have great elasticity which you just can't know until you have a pregnancy, then anything you try isn't going to make a difference amb.
Some girls are lucky.... Some not so lucky. So thank goodness for surgery hey! Lol

Not true.
A recent study has put paid to the suggestion that its 'breast feeding' that causes women's breasts to sag.
They have actually found that its 'pregnancy' that causes breasts to sag. You can read the study [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Having a baby for those if us that want children is an incredible thing and one of the most greatest achievements you'll ever have in your life. Bringing a child into the world shouldn't be about worrying what it might do to your body, it should be about love and the want for the baby growing in your belly totally dependent on you to give it life....
So I'd say to anyone if you would worry about your body and the effects of pregnancy then wait! Have your kids, love them and then when you're ready, have that time for you.
But if you're a live for the moment kinda girl, ready to enjoy your boobs now whilst you're young and beautiful, look forward to a day when you may become a mother and if that that happens, just enjoy being a pregnant mum, and then later, IF the pregnancy has had any affect on your boobs, you can deal with what you think is right for you then....
Just think about how YOU feel right now babe and how you think it might affect you and take your decision from there... Xx

Re: Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
As everyone else says.. I think any boobs, natural or implants, will appear saggier or less full after pregnancy.. It's just a natural part of life and we can't avoid it. I'm 20, babe, and I've just had my BA. I know for a fact that I'll be getting another BA in my lifetime but I'm thinking it will probably be when I'm around 32-34.. So hopefully I'll have had my children by then as I'm hoping to start a family around 25 (not that I can accurately plan it hahaha).. So I think it's up to you babe.. If you don't mind the booby effects of pregnancy then you don't need to get one but if you want to keep your full, younger look then you may need to have another op done :)
take care, lovely!xxxx

Re: Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
U think breastfeeding technique effects sagging, I was that exhausted when I had my babies as they didn't sleep and was up feeding them every hour of every night that I co slept and let them literally hang Off them. I was that tired I would have sold a kidney for an hour's sleep so sagging boobs weren't even a concern of mine. I have heard that with post pregnancy sagging if u have overs they can look more natural. I don't believe that report saying bf doesn't cause sagging, a baby hanging Off them and tugging definitely stretches u (I bf each for over a yr). Also your bbody deposits fat near the mammary glands and it is this fat that u convert into milk first, so once u dry up u are left empty, fat depleted after the milk glands shrink back to normal. I'm not saying to anyone not to bf, I chose to give my babies the best start and then once they served their purpose I got them fixed

Maybe further information might help....
During pregnancy, your breasts undergo changes and grow larger to prepare for breastfeeding your baby. After the baby is born, breast milk fills your breasts, stretching the skin even more. So once the milk is gone, your breasts may appear smaller, less full and even saggy. This can happen whether or not you decide to breastfeed.
Quote from HERE
In the days and hours following birth, the breasts begin to make milk. This will happen whether you intend to breastfeed or not. A few days after birth the milk (usually) ‘comes in’ and many women experience some engorgement. Their breasts become full and the skin may feel tight and stretched, (breastfeeding is a great treatment for this). ;)
If you don’t breastfeed, the breasts gradually stop producing milk and the engorgement subsides on it’s own as the body realises no milk is required. The milk-making machinery then shrinks back in a process called ‘breast involution’. The skin (which has been stretched as explained above) may or may not ‘snap back’ into shape.
Quote HERE
As the first study to examine what impacts breast shape in connection to pregnancy, plastic surgeons found that a history of breastfeeding, the number of children breastfed, the duration of each child's breastfeeding, or the amount of weight gained during pregnancy were not significant predictors for losing breast shape. However, body mass index (BMI), the number of pregnancies, a larger pre-pregnancy bra size, smoking history, and age were significant risk factors for an increased degree of breast sagging
Quote from HERE
All the latest research and studies Lou DO actually indicate that its not actually breast feeding but is the actual pregnancy that causes the sagging
Re: Has anyone needed a re-op after pregnancy
Hey hun, im getting a re op sometime and ive had a baby. My boobies are a lot more natural looking - as you can see in my avi. Im 20 so quite young haha.. I did have some issues before bubs though but pregnancy actually magnified these.
Def think about what is more important for you :) its a big decision !! x
