Uneven 4 days PO
Hi girls, I've taken a few extra pics today, and I've noticed that my left boob is sooo much bigger than my right. I'm hoping that is due to swelling, but it is soo so much bigger and as Mr Hassan put a larger implant in the left, I'm wondering if it will always be like that. I had 480 in my right and 535 in my left, that's 55cc's bigger! I was also hoping after my uplift that my nipples would be an inch higher, but I'm praying that after dropping and fluffing that they will actually be a bit higher. However I'm really worried about the size, do you think there can be THAT much extra swelling in my left, compared to my right, to make it look soo much bigger, or is it cos of the bigger implant. I'm really worried that I'm going to have to ask him to change it. Also how long would you say it takes for the swelling to go down, on average, I'm guessing it's much sooner than the dropping and fluffing. Thanks so much girls! Xxx

Re: Uneven 4 days PO
I wouldn't worry about different sized boobs just now, this is VERY common babe
Its often because one breast suffered a little more trauma to the breast than the other due to surgery so you may suffer a little more discomfort on that side, a little more swelling, it may be a little higher, it may be different shaped... But ultimately its simply just a cause of it healing slower after having a tougher time in theatre and over time (mine took 10 weeks) they do start to even out.
I always stress with any concerns though that whenever you go for check-ups, which you will be going to your first one soon with your wound check ALWAYS state your concern and ask that it be noted in your notes. Don't just accept a nurse nodding to you and saying it'll be OK. You want it written in your notes and don't be shy if asking hun. If you don't feel you can do that do ask a friend/partner/mum to go with you and get them to ensure its done.
Not that there's anything wrong. As I said this is VERY common. But you should ALWAYS cover your back. Xx

Thanks cookie! I guess I was hoping you would say that :-) lol.
I suppose it's very early on so silly to panic over things like that, but yeah I will mention it to him when I see him in a couple weeks. 10 weeks for your swelling to go down...wow I was guessing a couple of weeks...that good to know thanks cookie, I guess then around the 3 month mark I should be able to see them evened out xxx

It can differ between woman to woman. Yes, it was around the 3 month marker for 'me' but that could be sooner/later for others. You 'generally' should be able to start seeing what your result is going to result like around 6 months, but your boobs will go on softening over the year and as they continue to soften they look and feel more and more natural. Xx
Its never silly to panic either hun. Most of us do at some point in our recovery because no matter how much we read about 'time' and 'patience' pre-op, we're never quite prepared for it post-op and that's OK, because there are many of us here who have sat exactly were you are and know exactly how you're feeling babe and are all ready to help make you feel a little better (hopefully) as you go through your recovery.

Hey hun, my right boob was noticeably bigger than my left for quite a few weeks after surgery-they're just starting to look more even now at 3months xx

Re: Uneven 4 days PO
My lefty was bigger for 2 weeks after my op! My right didn't fill out my bra cups and I was getting really down about it. I even started thinking that my PS had maybe accidentally put a smaller implant in my right hahaha (silly me!)
I then asked my nurse at my checkup why my left was bigger and she said that my notes said my left was smaller pre-op. Obviously this doesn't make sense as why would the left go bigger if it was smaller than the right pre-op? She then explained that it must have suffered more trauma and therefore swelled up more. They're now the same size so I promise you babe that it will pass and your boobs will adjust to the same size!!
Your surgeon knows what he's doing so I'm very confident that your boobs will even out:)
Take care, lovely. Good luck!!xxxx

Thanks for the reassurance tiger! Yeah my boob that was smaller pre op is now bigger post op. Seems strange doesn't it, but I guess your right, must be due to additional trauma to the breast xxx

my boobs were same size pre ba and i had same size implants.
my leftie was alot sorer than the right through healing but it had dropped and sits a tiny bit lower than my right which has given me no issues at all but its just every so slighly higher and small - its hard to see in pics but i can defo feel and see it in person and i am stressting but just trying to be patient and hoping it will sort itself.

Re: Uneven 4 days PO
Hi misskaren, well from the advice from the other girls, I wouldn't worry, sounds like it perfectly normal, and can take
Months, I think cookie said the average is about 3 months to see symmetry, by then they should have droppe and fluffed and all swelling should have gone. So really to get to the "average" you still have another 7 weeks to go! So don't stress yourself Hun, in sure you will be really happy with them soon enough xxxx

Re: Uneven 4 days PO
Im in the same boat too. Lefty is bigger, looks a cup size to me sometimes!!
I've just looked at your most recent pics and I must say that I thought the right looked bigger in the pics where your bra was open and then on the pics where you have taken your bra off the left does look bigger. I don't know if these pics were taken on different days?
You are still so very early days, I know it's hard not to worry but just give it time xx
