Post BA & excited
Hello ladies, I'm totally new here, but I have to share with you all as I'm sure I'll have questions, and other ladies sure as well!
I've had my poppies done 21st December, and I'm totally thrilled to have them done. I think they look absolutely amazing, and the feeling that they will get (hopefully) better, is really great.
I was very much flat chested - cup A, and even then they were quite empty. I asked for breasts to proportion of my body as I'm not wall flower. I got 560ml into each breast, under the muscle - it sounds massive, they probably were, but they look alright on my body. No plastic look so far. They look like they always belonged to me!
I'm still getting used to them, and I'm still in pain. Left breast hurts me more. Right one is absolutely fine. I have a burning sensation in the left one, and to be totally honest I have very sensitive skin now and nipples.
I started applying a cream for scars (my surgeon did an excellent job) and I start massaging them as well - though I'm still looking online for tips on this!
I hope this finds you all well, and I look forward to any comments & questions!
Xx

Hi Ann
congratulations on the BA and so chuft that you are doing well and receovering well too
I had very very sensitive nipples but it was so painful I actually called my surgeon and asked he take me back in and take the implants out lol that was my first BA back in Dec 12 but I had reop in Nov and I was almost pain free except for the ache as I have had a compression band on since then
Are you ok to start applying cream to the scars as they normally recommend waiting 6 - 12 weeks before applying anything to the wounds
I never put anything on mine and both times have been so neat, and even now at only 6 weeks post op can hardly see mine, they arent red just a white line xx

The cream was recommended to me - it's a calcium ointment, nothing fancy, and it works miracles on any type of scars and wounds.
My surgeon hasn't mentioned massaging at all to me when he saw me week ago, but I read so many posts and recommendations from other to start doing it from week 3 so they become soft that it confused me a bit. And I'm quite scared to even push them any harder.

Hiya & welcome to Breast Buddies. , congratulations on your new additions, glad everything is going well in your recovery!
You shouldn't be applying anything to your scars until they have healed as you risk infection otherwise, also shouldn't base massaging either unless instructed to do so by your surgeon, massaging is usually recommended when implants are being stubborn to encourage them to drop. Massaging them won't make them any softer than the will be once they have fully healed and settled so of no benefit, but could cause problems and void your aftercare.
Better to err on the side of caution huni where your new boobs are concerned and run it by your surgeon first that's what your aftercare is for and there's always the lovely ladies on here around too task ask advice from. XXX

Re: Post BA & excited
:) thank you all! I wasn't really sure about the massaging bit. And my first try yesterday was ok, but I'm not comfortable with it. Certainly will run it by my surgeon now!

Hi, Ann!! First of all, congratulations! I'm so happy you're thrilled with your results! I got mine done on the 20th december so i'm at the same stage of recovery as you!! Wow, 560? You lucky thing! I would have loved to have had 560 but i only had enough stretch to get 340 in.. And even that was difficult haha!
What size do you think you're measuring then? I'm so glad you're happy! If you want to share any pictures then feel free to message me and i'll give you my details to access my picturetrail :)
Good luck with your recovery xxxxx

Re: Post BA & excited
Thank you! I don't see the 560 in there yet. I was actually quite horrified I'm still flat chested, but they are changing every day, and settling where they should be, and finally showing the size. I've tried sports bras in shop yesterday, and 38DD was ok, but still bit tight. So not sure what size they are actually going to be once they drop.tigertonix wrote:Hi, Ann!! My surgeon said that even 1000ml on each side would get lost in my chest. That's how much space I've got!
I'll make some pics tomorrow, and will upload them, so we can share & compare ;)

Oh wow, do you have a lot of excess skin then (without sounding insulting..)? I didn't even know they did 1000cc haha! I think i'd die if that was inserted in me! Aw that's great.. Thanks honey! Feel free to look at mine on picturetrail. I'll message you my details xxx

Re: Post BA & excited
No, I don't, and I am actually surprised my skin stretched for these 'beasts' :) I was just told that my chest is quite big and spacious, hence they stuffed me with bigger implants. I still don't see them as that big, but that's what my surgeon said - they will look alright due to the fact I had plenty of space there :)
