Hi, I wanted to get some advice! I had my implants last christmas to correct my tuberous breast and had a lollipop nipple lift on one side 9 or 10 weeks ago to make them more symetrical and the breast that was operated on is massively bigger now and very solid... this originally was my larger breast but after the augmentation it was just a little larger and fuller than the other.
When I had my dressings off a week post surgery they said I was swollen so they put on more dressings and asked me to go back a few days later. when I returned they said it was still swollen but it wasn't a problem and told me to tape and oil my scars...
I am getting concerned now... I am in no pain or discomfort really... the outer skin and fat layer is softening but I can feel the implant is very, very firm... I am wondering if it could be scar tissue around the implant? I am seeing PS again probably at the end of January but am worried and wondered if anyone else had had this problem? I know it takes a while for everything to soften etc but after about 10 weeks I would have expected most of the swelling to have gone down even if the implant hadn't fluffed out properly.

You have to check with your PS but my doctor recommended massaging to help my implants drop and soften xx

Sorry if I'm getting this wrong Laura, but are your implants a year old now? and you just had the lollipop lift on your larger side 10 weeks ago?

If this is right, you really shouldn't be experiencing hardening of your implants at all babe. All the hard work has been done for your implants and it would only have been the scar you have had to deal with this time. I had the same year but the lollipop lift was for scar revision.

If your scars are healing well? And you've made no suggestion that there's any problem with your scars then you really should be making some headway now now.

I'm hoping that by the time you've seen your surgeon this will have settled, but if you have any pain, notice any oozing from your incisions or the breast feels hot and you get a temp do call the number they will have given you upon discharge from the hospital lovely. Xxx
