Should I be worried
So I'm booked in for my BA on Monday, and reading these forums people are talking about what Brand they are having. My surgeon hasn't told me what Brand I'm having (and the thought hasn't crossed my mind), or asked me what Brand I want. Should I be worried?
I read somewhere that you can choose to pay more and have a 'softer' higher quality implant, or they will give you cheaper ones, is this true, if so is it too late to change what I want as it's Sunday tomorrow, and are they that much different? :/?

Hmm I'm not sure about this babe. I was under the impression they would discuss everything about the implant at the consultation. Who are you booked with? Xx

Re: Should I be worried
When I booked and paid, I got receipt stating all information from the date of surgery to the size and type of implant I would be having. I got this when I initially booked with Transform, other clinics may be different but it's worth checking your paperwork babe.X

All I have is a letter telling me the time of the op and date and a letter I'm meant to sign saying I agree to terms and conditions :/

Re: Should I be worried
you have absolutely no reason at all to be worried babe.
ALL implants currently being used ARE safe
There is a difference between you having a 'budget' implant and a 'superior' implant.
As The Nuffield, 'I think' only use BAAPS/BAPRAS surgeons, these surgeons don't offer budget implants so you should be having a premium implants babe.
The latest implants which are the 5th generation 'gummy bears' are actually slightly firmer than the 4th generation which are slightly softer. There is a premium product for both the 4th and 5th generation babe.
The 5th does reduce the risk of CC and rippling
The 4th is slightly softer
So you have a choice which you'd prefer over the other..
You really should know what's being placed in your body though sweetheart do you can research what they are, what size, profile and shape they are also to see if you're 100% happy with them.
If you can contact the surgeon then it would be advisable... If not, I'm sure you'll be fine. The Nuffield is a pretty decent clinic babe.
What's your surgeons name? Xx

Re: Should I be worried
I don't have a receipt :/ only a letter telling me the op is scheduled. I'm with Mr Moiemen- he seems very good.

Re: Should I be worried
Oh no the Nuffield again, this day is really challenging me, I actually thought I'd done really well choosing them after trawling other clinics.
I have had a fantastic experience with them though so far.
I did discuss implant brand at my consultation, in Scotland the surgeon uses either Nagor or Mentor.x

Re: Should I be worried
Yeah I'm sure they will be a good brand- I'm having the 350cc low height full profile anatomical implants as I think this will give the shape I want, I just wanted to check how important it was to know what brand you're having.

your surgeon is a member of BAPRAS babe, so I can't seem them using budget implants. You'll be fine.... Don't worry. X

Re: Should I be worried
Which nuffield hospital are you going to? I went to North Staffordshire, I was the same as you got no paperwork just letters for pre op appointment surgery appointments, etc. You do get a lifetime aftercare ( not just on the implants) but for when you are discharged as I've been back several times and not been charged for any of them.
Hope this helps
