Last minute size change

Is it possible to ask my surgeon on the day of the surgery to change the size I'd like?
We agreed on 275 but if he could get a bit bigger in I think I'd prefer it.

Have any of you girlies done this?

Its ALWAYS something that should be agreed upon really before the big day. Because it may be possible the size you might like just isn't in.

But if you call your clinic/surgeon and request the next size up or down to be taken into theatre with you as well, this can and is often done and you can then, along with your surgeon, decide on the day which you'd prefer best and which the surgeon thinks will look best on the day..

So give them a call Ash and request the sizes you want be taken in with you - this is however only if your surgeon agrees. Xx

I was changes my sizes several times ;-)

But every time they were especially ordered so definitely ask in advance for them to order it for you.

Most surgeons will have two sizes to choose from on the day, but ring them and confirm! Xx

My PS had 265 cc and 295 cc and during op decided that 265 looks best and this was the implant he used xx

Larger hospitals like spire generally have good stocks of the different sizes others may not so give them a call or see you surgeon in advance as they may need to order more sizes in to take to theatre on the day, if youv'e shown your surgeon plenty pics of the result you are hoping to achieve he can then work out the size of implant that can get you that. XXX

Its definitely worth discussing. If you want bigger and they can fit bigger, then certainly ask to take more than one implant in. I had 340 and 375 taken in with me, but the 375 were too big to healthily fit. But if you're surgeons happy to do it, go for it!

I'm too shy to ring and ask so I think I might take my chances and see what's available on the day. Any boobs are better that what I've got currently residing on my chest lol

I really think that this is important and that you should just call and ask what size is written down for oyu and that you want the surgeon to take in the next size up

The fact you are saying any boobs are better than what you have is not the way to think as this is a big thing and having to need a reop for probs I said many times if I didnt get the reop, ie if my surgeon refused then id have to have what i had but this is not the case and the diff in my breasts now after the reop is huge and im glad that i went and seen my surgeon and he agreed that I did need a reop

I really do think you should call xx

Oh ashlea, please dont be too shy to call! Just think how dissappointed you might be on the day if he says, well yeh we could have gone bigger, but I dont have the implants. Which clinic are you going with?

Im an extrodinarily shy person, to a fault. But the person on the other end of the phone cant see that. You have to treat it like a scene - think of what character you'd like to be, give it a rehearsal in your head as to how you want the conversation to go, take a deep breath and dial. These people are working for you, and you are paying them a lot of money to do what *you* want. Theyre not going to turn around and be all, well no because of this. They have to keep you happy, or risk losing you as a customer (because you can tell them that...they dont know you're bluffing ;))

I agree with charlii and on here I might not seem it but im not a very confident person and my worse case ever before having BA was OMG what if I need a reop how will I fight it and there ws no fighting needed, we just dicussed ways of helping my probs without surgery but then we realised it was going to need to be surgery

So I guess what im saying is its not always as bad as you think its going to be xx

hmmm not sure about the clinic have you checked their opening times

are you sure its not the bridgewater in Manchester, thats where my surgeon operates if hes not in the NHS hospital down there?

If it is the Bridgewater its a bit of a strange hospital lol you go into main ward until there is a room read yo so dont be put off by this

the staff there are lovely and your surgeon was there the day that I went in as I heard a nurse shout on him he is quite a good looking man Blush

if its the same one, does he have kinda greyish hair and its kinda the messy look? lol

im sure that you will be fine but I would call and ask about the sizes when they are open xx

I think you're right lol.

Their opening times (the Birmingham clinic I've been attending, I'mpretty sure tthat's who I've got to ring) are 9-8 so either the receptionist has forgotten to switch the phone round or they've decided to have a lazy day lol.

I'm not good with anticipation and not being able to get in touch really isn't helping :/

well the bridgewater is great I had a total melt down just before my reop as i had to go myself and the staff were amazing at calming me down, if you get the crazt anethetist he is so so funny and my nurse was Kathy

do the clinic have like another phone number like a help line you can call

whats your plants are going to ask to go for the bigger size

what dis your surgeon say to you were your options xx

Keep trying, and if you cant get through, call another one of their clinics and asked to be patched through. Failing that, call another clinic and explain the situation to them, and they should be able to help somehow. Or try their central line.

Oh that sounds great :D. I've double checked, it is Bridgewater lol!

He didn't tell me if I could go bigger because I was happy with the size butthe more iI've thought about it and read, they're going to end up looking smaller aren't they. It honestly wouldn't be the end e D of the world because ultimately I'm having the operation to give me fullness to my boob but I can't pretend there's no vanity in it haha

Did you say you had the same surgeon as me tink?

no I have a diff surgeon but I heard a nurse calll Mr Sleiter and I was sitting right at the nurses station so I seen him come over and he looked ok :ok:

but I can vouch fo the other staff there and they are great

when is your admission time, its a great wee hospital and the taxi driver was telling me thats where the man utd players go

I went form zero to a 32e/f with 360 unders so you wil have a good size i think xx

I just made such a tit out of myself (excuse the pun) so I am actually having 375 not 275. I don't think I need bigger than that.

She told me the only way of changing the size is by seeing the surgeon again which isn't possible before Friday but that doesn't matter lol.

Now my endless nights of similar stat photos has been pointless hahaha

Yeah mr Sleiter is known by my cc as 'dishy' lol. Oh I can't believe it's only 3 days!

Aww he was lovely but Italian, I struggle with Italian men lmao!! Very funny though, grabbed my implant stuffed bra to see what a mans hand looked like round it for me hahaha

I'm feeling much better now. I Can't believe I've let myself get so worked up for nothing. I'm sure I will a few more times yet!

mr and dr are a tad but diff when it comes to cosmetic surgeons but its all about who you are comfortable with I went with a Mr and it cost about the same as most other BA but its all down to who you feel comfortable with

haha now you will get worked up about whether they are too big hahaha xx
