last minute doubts about size!

my BA is a week thursday im a 36A and having 400CC unders. I want to be about a DD and im not sure if this will get me there, its about a snug D in a sports bra when i tried the implants on. If they're gonna be a bit smaller under the muscle I'm worried i might only come out as a C or something. Dont get me wrong, anythings an improvement I just dont wanna come out wishing I'd gone bigger.
BUUUUT
on the other hand, i still want to be able to wear all my clothes as I'm about a 10 at the minute and fit into an 8 because im so flat chested. Im about 5'6 and about 10st 5 atm (ive ballooned lately so i cant wait to shift the odd half a stone after surgery :P )

Has anyone of a similar size had implants at around 400 and what were your results? Also, any general advice would be much appreciated. It's not just last minute nerves because after my consultation i wondered if i wanted to go bigger, my surgeon just didnt have any bigger than 400CCs on him. He said they dont use bigger ones than that very often.

If you're not happy or feel what has been suggested for you isn't what you want you need to get this sorted out with your surgeon BEFORE you undergo your surgery sweetheart, it's impossible for any of us to predict a size for you, even the experts (surgeons) can't guarantee a size, but they can give you what you ask for or as close to what you ask for after seeing you and weighing up all your stats and other factors that are taken into concideration, but they need to be sure of the size you want sweetness, so if you and your surgeon aren't clear about this then a second consultation before next week would be a good idea to further discuss size.

If this isn't possible, then request that you would like your surgeon to take a couple of sizes of implant into theatre with him as you're still unsure about size and would like to further discuss this on the day of surgery to ensure you get the size you want.

You'll have time on the day of your surgery to talk about this so don't panic hun.

I'd advise you look for pics of the shape and size of boobs you like (Nuts mens mag is a good place to look) show your surgeon the pic, as your surgeon works in volume rather than cup sizes he'll have a much better indication of the the look you're after and how many CCs it might take to achieve this for you.

You're gonna be fine hunni, just be clear with your surgeon, show him what you're after and they'll do their best to give you just that. xx

when i went i said about a D/DD and he said that the 400s should give me that. i think im just getting greedy before its even done :P at the end of the consultation though he said id be about the same size as i am with my triple boost bra on now and i wanted a bit bigger than that. but they looked loads bigger when i tried them on :S i think its cos im just over-thinking everything now. i still want to be able to wear size 10 tops okay, and i think if i went much bigger that wouldnt be possible. i guess even if i am a bit smaller than i wanted, im used to wearing triple boost bras on a daily basis so wearing padded ones after my BA wont be too much different to what i wear now. i just think if theyd grown to that size naturally id be happy, so whatever i look like after surgery, will be a massive improvement on now and id have had to have naturally so i cant really complain. i think 400s will be dramatic enough anyway without being massive. i dont think i could go much bigger anyway cos i dont think my body would take it and i think it'd look fake. in my head i know thats about the right size, i think its cos its the only thing about the procedure i can control, its the thing im stressing about :P
i dont think ive ever been so scared in my life! its not even a big operation its just not knowing what to expect :/ xx

Most of us have been exactly where your at too babes. It's absolutely normal to have last minute panics right before surgery, I had nightmares and everything! LOL

You're gonna be just fine hun.... take a read through some of the Breast Aug stories, that'll cheer you up no end and replace the fear with excitement again when you read how happy everyone is! xx

awww thank you. the nerves have disappeared... for now. i hope im okay on thursday. im going in for 7am so hopefully i wont be waiting round too long to get stressed. i havent had any paperwork through to confirm my slot though or the questionnaire they said i'd get :S any idea if i should have that by now? :S x

You'll fill everything in when you go to your room hun, a nurse will come to see you and go through all the questions with you, then you'll see your surgeon who will talk you through your surgery and ensure you're still happy with what's agreed, you'll also see the anaethatist who will go through a few questions with you, sign a few consent forms and will then be told when you'll be going to theatre. It's all quite fast babe, so you'll be just fine. xx

phew thats good to hear. its not the BA itself im scared of, its going down to theatre and having needles and actually being put to sleep. i trust my surgeon and im really happy with him so im not too worried about complications or anything at all. ive never had a GA so its the fear of the unexpected i guess. i dont think i'll get much sleep weds night so hopefully i'll be too tired to care come thursday morning :P xx

I had 410 overs, 9st5 and a size 10 and I'm currently in an E sports bra. I can also wear a DD but its not as comfy as an E. I'm still wearing all my clothes from before. Its not made a difference although I can't fit in any of my fitted dresses!

I bought a new dress last week and had to get a size 16 so the boobs fit and I'm getting the rest tailored to me... My local dress maker charge 25 quid. I only wear dress to the races or a wedding, christening. Or funeral so not an issue...and worth the cost!

hey, omg, we r the same size! and hacving surgery on the same day lol.
im 5ft6 about 10.5 stone but my current size is 34c, and im having 460cc but not sure yet whether im having overs or unders (surgeon decides on the day)
Ive been told that would get me to at least a dd/e minimum...im hoping for e minimum. Im sure 400cc will acheive at least a d, if not dd. My friwnd was a size 32a, and had 380 i think, and she is a dd.
It does make a little diffrence with them being unders. Just speak to your surgeon about your concerns, and trust their dicision. Good luck for thursday!! :) :good:

Im a 32A getting 400 overs and I am in the same boat as you.. my ps said 400 is probably as big as I can go but a part of me wants to go a little bigger!! I am afraid I will go through all this and wish I had gone bigger but I dont know at the same time.. Good luck with your BA and I can't wait to hear how it all went :thumbs:

i contacted my surgeon last night, he said he totally understands and ive obviouskt thought about it lots so i can either postpone it and try more or discuss it on the day and he'll bring 450s and 500s to try cos i want to be at least a D/DD and he said that'd get me there because im quite wide and theyre going under so id need big ones to make much impact. im so happy now cos in the consult i wanted to see how much difference a larger one would make because for that much money i want a pretty dramatic difference... mind you, anythings a difference compared to an empty A!!! 6 dayyyyys! :D
