13 days!!!

Hi girls!!
I jusy have to share my excitement with you all! My op is on the 20th with Mr. Mahdi at Transform! I'm so excited but at the same time just can't believe it's going to happen! I keep.thinking it's just too good to be true and that something will happen before then that will delay it. I guess i'm just so obsessed with getting it done that it all seems so surreal!!
I'm also quite worried as I'm going for a consultation with Mr. Mahdi on the 17th to talk about possibly getting bigger implants. The only problem is, if he agrees to letting me have bigger than 310, i'm scared my mum will find out. My mum really doesn't want me to get any bigger because she thinks they'll look too big for my frame. If he does agree to giving me 340, for example, will my mum find out on the day? I've read people's stories about the whole procedure on the day of the operation and lots of people have mentioned that the surgeon comes down to see you in your room and confirms the size of the implants. If this is the case, my mum will definitely hear because she'll be in the room with me! I know i should probably tell her that i want to go slightly bigger but she's just very worried that they'll look too big for me. Thanks in advance!! Please could someone tell me if the surgeon does mention the size of implants in the hospital room beforehand? Thank you! Xxxx

About your sizing.... Well, they're YOUR boobs hun. As a grown woman you really don't need your mums approval to have what 'you' want from this surgery, so I'd personal suggest you talk this through with your mum hun and just explain that 'you' would be happier with your boobs to be bigger.

The surgeon does come to your bed and will give you a mini consultation before surgery. They'll go over everything that's agreed between you including implant size babe. This needs to be done to confirm you're still in agreement with all decisions made regarding your surgery plan.

Now... If you REALLLY don't want your mum to know, you could ask that your mum step outside whilst the surgeon examines you. Maybe suggest you're a little embarrassed and rather she just gave you a moment. That way you can have your consultation 'in private' and your mum will be non the wiser at all.

If your mum saw everything at your consultation, then maybe build up to your big day now and tell a little white lie explaining that you'd never felt so embarrassed as you were when you had to reveal your boobs in front of her and that you couldn't ever do that again. Its just far too embarrassing for you. Tell her someone said that you have to do that again right before your op and just say something like, your nerves will be bad enough and if you're asked to show your breasts again you'd rather she just waited outside. If you do the preparation now then when it comes to the big day, she'll expect that you'll ask her to leave, so will most likely leave before you even ask her!

If you're alone at any time with the nurse upon admission, you could have a quiet word with her and ask that she discreetly ask you mum to leave whilst the surgeon examines you too.

What YOU want as an adult matters Tiger, so the nurses will respect YOUR wishes lovely. But if they're not aware, they may not ask her to leave at all.

I agree, it's your decision not your mums,.. You can't pay all of this money and not be happy because of your mum..
Explain to her that cc's are measured that way instead of cup sizes because it's not an exact science, and that the surgeon had measured you and will not give you an implant that will not be safe for your breast width diameter.. IF you are offered a bigger implant and like it then it's your choice.

Like cookie said the surgeon will give you a mini consultation at your bedside on the day.
And remember if you arnt allowed a bigger implant don't worry because it all depends on the body, some ladies have around 250ccs and get an F for example and I had 460s and I'm an E so I'm sure even if you can't go bigger your be happy.., it's great your having this consultation XX

What look do *you* want? Are you happy with the smaller implant? How dissapointed and angry would you be if you came out of surgery not with the boobs you wanted, but with the boobs your mom wanted for you. Can you imagine the resentment you would feel, having paid all that money for something you're not happy with, just because your mom said so?

Now, Im either the best or worst person to advise on this, as I have *major* mom issues. But at the end of the day, its your body. She may have birthed you, but you have to live with it. Do you think the larger ones look too big? Does your surgeon? Unless you've asked for superhuge boobs, the surgeon will use his expertise to help decide what looks best on your body.

I think theres a huge emphasis on cup size too - If I'd have gone into this saying 'I wanna be an E cup' people would have gasped and said thats too big and porny. But thats what I've ended up with after 340s, and they dont look huge - they suit my body and my frame.

Yes, you could ask for your mom to leave during the confirmation consultation, but the size of your implant will be recorded in writing, and the information given to you in a pack for insurance purposes, so even if you keep it quiet before it happens, she may find out afterwards. Then you have the issues of 'you lied to me' and the mess surrounding that!

I do apologise if this sounds a tad mean, but as someone who has gone through life trying to please and gain approval from mom, only to end up miserable...Its just not worth it hun, especially for something so intimate and so completely for you. This has to be your choice and your decisions only. I would reccomend going to your sizing appointment without her, discussing it thoroughly with the surgeon, be confident with your decision, then have an adult conversation with her about what size you are having. Dont make it a discussion - this is what you have decided to go with, regardless of what she thinks is best.

I agree with the others these are for you and you need to be happy so it doesnt matter what anyone else says except you and your surgeon to get you to the look that you want

You could explain to her before that for the look that you want then the surgeon has recommened they sizes or as said ask your mum to leave while you and the surgeon discuss your surgery

How exciting less than a fortnight !! 

As the girls have said you're doing this for you and my mum wasn't entirely over the moon when I said I wanted to go a lot bigger for my 2nd and then went even bigger on my third, but it was what I wanted and it was my body and if I was happy then that's all that mattered. 

In the scale of things explain that 310-340 isn't a massive implant it's a good decent size however tell her implants can go up into their thousands of cc and puts yours into perspective!!! X

I took my mum to my second consultation and I tried on the 330cc implant but both me and my surgeon agreed that it wasn't  quite the right size ( mum worried Ithe size would be too big). I asked if on op day if he would take the 390cc into surgery as well which he did ( took 4 different sizes in the end and tried all four!!). Finally settled on the 360cc which he suggested at first consultation. I am really happy with them and they've taken me from a 32b to a 30g which is unbelieveable, (implant should take me to a DD/E MAX.

I've decided to tell her that because they're going under the muscle i might lose a few cc's. So i'm going to tell her that i'm requesting a few more ccs to make sure i get full volume of the implant xxxx

Haha... Well, you can tell your mum that but its not necessarily true....

We've had ladies on this forum change placement from unders to overs due to muscle distortion and if the 'theory' that you lose 10% of the volume were true going under the muscle then these ladies would have increased in breast size going over the muscle.. But they didn't. They remained exactly the same size as they were before putting paid that theory. 

This surgery isn't an exact science and there's no way of ever knowing the resulting size you're gonna get until you get it! Even your surgeon who is an expert in this field can only ever give you an estimate hun. So you should be aware of that for yourself regardless of what you tell your mum hun. 

I'm glad you have decided to tell her though. If she's going through this entire process with you, it would be a shame to be keeping things from her.

Im glad you've decided to be honest with her, its the best way forward. But I agree with Cookie, the theory of losing 10% unders, its physically not true. It is scientifically impossible to loose mass of something. If you're putting X cc's in, you will be X cc's bigger - fact.
