Measured with an uplift
Hiya girls,
I hope everyone is good.
I'm going to Birmingham next Sunday and because I will be nearly 6 weeks I was going to get some party dresses and get measured and fitted while I'm there. The thing is I'm a bit embarrassed because of my scars - I have the majority covered up with tape but I have about a cm of scar showing at the bottom - the nurse said something about the tape irritating it which is why she left it ... I'm now a bit worried as if someone saw them would they not want me trying bras on as I have the bit of scar on show so would go in their bras...or am I better just trying bras on by myself so they don't see I'm putting my open scar in their new bras.! That sounds a bit gross!
Does anyone know of places that tend to be quite good about scars and not be bothered - I just have visions of some women's look of disgust for some reason!
Thanks girls! Xx

Re: Measured with an uplift
I would say bravissimo because they are used to seeing women who have recently had surgery.
I went to boux avenue and the girls were all young in there so I didn't feel comfortable telling them so I asked for a different lady! Xx

Re: Measured with an uplift
Thanks Jen - I've seen a nice none wired set in there - I may just about be able to get into their bras as they start from a D don't they? If I'm a 34 there I will be ok! Me and my massive implants aren't actually that big ha ha (which is what I wanted!)

Re: Measured with an uplift
Fitter don't need to see your naked breasts at all Lisa. At no point will you have to do that.
What will happen is they'll ask to see you 'in the bra you're currently wearing' they'll feel around the band, check straps and cups and then bring some bras in to you try. They will then take a look at you in the bras 'after you have them on' hun.
So don't worry about your scars sweetness. They don't need to see or know about them at all.

Re: Measured with an uplift
Oh thank god for that!! Thank you so much! Phew I feel better...
I was excited about getting some nice bras but so worried about someone looking at my scars in disgust! Don't get me wrong I LOVE my boobs and I'm so happy with them, even so soon post op they look awesome (if I do say so myself lol) and I will show my friends until the cows come home (or they tell me to put my bra back on ha ha) but the thought of a disapproving stranger was scary.
Yaaaaay I'm so excited now! I'm going for a spray tan next week as well so I need a small black bra to cover my incisions.
Oh cookie I got the triaction and thanks for the tip, the 34D fits fine and they look pretty good in it, I may wear this to get fitted as it's not a normal surgery bra...I've had to get a bigger zip m&s one as the 32 was too small though.
Thanks again girls xxx

Re: Measured with an uplift
The Triumph is fab isn't it. You can get away with wearing almost anything in it and those boobies don't budge an inch in it either - its the bra of all bras! Well sportsbras anyway lol. I'm glad you're happy with it lovely.Lias6246 wrote:Oh thank god for that!! Thank you so much! Phew I feel better...

And really happy to know you're feeling a lot better about going for a fitting. I think if you'd asked anyone of us who have had a lift how we'd feel showing off our early post-op scars to strangers, we'd all feel the same way Lisa. I know I did and still am a little funny when it comes to my scars, but I know after a year they'll look great, but until then, it is something that's very much on the forefront of your mind, so you're not at all alone babe.
The fitters are very understanding and discreet and they'll look after you hun, especially those in bravissimo or any other specialist lingerie shop.
Happy shopping babe and prepare to make a BIG dent in your credit card lol. Xx
Re: Measured with an uplift
Aww thank you cookie, it's nice to know it's not just me that doesn't want to show my scars to the world! I'm so looking forward to them being all healed, I need to take my micro pore off soon so I will be able to get a good look at them but from the first time I saw them they look pretty good to be honest! But I wouldn't want to show them to the world.
I'm going to try and resist buying too many as I had unders so I have a feeling they may get a bit bigger but I know what I'm like and will go mental and buy half the shop. I've told hubby and he's coming with me so he will help restrain me! Do you get a lot bigger after 6 weeks or is this about it? I don't feel like I've dropped or anything yet...although I don't know whether I will notice it with my furries!
Xxx

Re: Measured with an uplift
I think you'd be wise just to buy the essentials at 6 weeks post-op Lisa.
The furry brazillians don't drop, but they will fill out as they continue softening and your muscle and skin fully relaxes to allow the implant to give its full potential.
I just bought a black, a white and a nude for my first shopping trip but for just 3 bras... It ain't cheap so be forewarned, or at least warn hubby before you go so he doesn't has a fit when he sees the bill lol.
Enjoy your shipping trip babe. Xx

Re: Measured with an uplift
Ha ha thanks for that, is that bravissimo? I've told hubby they were expensive so they need expensive ornaments! I will get the basics and maybe just one push up type bra so it will still fit if they get a bit bigger. I crashed my car so I've got to pay £350 excess and the washing machine has just packed up but nothing is touching my bra money ha ha. I told hubby I needed at least £250 which was the unexpected discount so he will be prepared! He was a bit shocked about how much you can spend on underwear! I think he's glad there isn't a Victoria secret near me!

This is the nicest non wired I have found to last until the 3 month mark as I'm not allowed wires until then. I've had a look at the deco I will get one after 3 months if it's that good - naughty bra!

I have trouble with him in my Macom I dread to think what he will be like in kinky underwear!!

Bravissimo do the Freya deco in a soft cup which is meant to be just as brilliant as the wired.Lias6246 wrote:Ha ha I forgot about the knickers! Ohhhh I may have to increase my budget! I've found the Sophie bra from bravissimo -
