So far and Q's please
Hi boobie gals.
So been to see Adrian Richards today. Was all very quick with him. Got the feeling he Defo more academic than Cust services! Was nice enough just not really chatty!
Anyway told them id like full wide high bust and close together if poss. Seemed to think with what I have already that I' d be able to achieve the close boobs. Iykwim?
Anyway said id prob need unders and recommended 460!!! Seems so big as you girls all talk in 300's!
Tried some on and they looked in proportion!
Either nagor or allergan soft touch. I asked why you'd choose one over the other and apparently allergan soft touch are firmer? Also said less likely to ripple? But as I'd have unders then ripple wouldn't happen?
Didn't mention any of this upper or lower pole etc? Not sure if needs too?
Showed him pics of what I want and seemed confident could achieve it!
Tbh though I didn't like any of the boobs in their before and after pics! I did kind of mention that too :-/

Re: So far and Q's please
Hey,
I am 5weeks post op from Adrian Richards work. I agree I wasn't that keen on many of his pics and he does walk in grab your boob and walk out again but I really cannot fault him! His team and him have been fantastic, and I had full confidence in him! (Previously had surgery cancelled the week before from the Harley medical group).

Re: So far and Q's please
You're not first unhappy with his 'bedside manner' so to say. We had a member recently see him and he actually said outright, "let's look at your t*ts then" or something to that affect!
I don't get the feeling you were completely happy overall with the consultation though and I'd go so far as to say you sound a little flat even Jen.
Have you arranged for consultations with other surgeons Jen?
I get from you that you want a reputable surgeon and BAAPS/BAPRAS member, this from what I read so far seems important and that's good babe - so maybe see one other BAAPS/BAPRAS member before making any decisions. This gives you a good opportunity to not only have another consultation/surgery plan to compare, but it will also help you to KNOW if you're making the right decision with this surgeon.
Hope you're OK Jen. I don't like hearing our buddies feel so down after a consultation

Re: So far and Q's please
I would agree in that we are all different. I have seen lots at 400ish but also at the other end of the scale too, the 265s etc
As long as you are happy with them, that is what matters!!! But it helps to be happy with your PS and how your consultation went too, I agree with Cookie.....sounding a bit "flat" about it.

Re: So far and Q's please
Just to give you a reason not to panic - I had 560's and I'm 5'8 and 9 stone so tall and thin and I was panicking like mad as everyone seemed to have smaller but as you can see from the avi I'm not huge, I'm about a 32dd or 34d but not been measured yet. It's totally amazing how different cc's work on different women.
Good luck! Xx

Well I wasn't that impressed with his manner. He did have bogies too! eeer! Aggy his nurse was fab though.COOKIE wrote:You're not first unhappy with his 'bedside manner' so to say. TBH I am excited after it, but think that's just cos it feels more real and I got to see what my future boobs might look like (although I think the real thing will look very different in the bra to trying the implant on the outside!!).
Yes I have 3 more consultations. Sat with Paul Clarke @ Transform. Tue with Allan Rezai and then Thur with George Spyrou (BAAPS also).
Thanks chick. I'm fine honest. Just think I might have expected him to be a bit more enthusiastic. He did like a hand shake to start and finish and found that a bit forced! lol.

1down 3more to go, just keep an open mind for the rest of them, anyhow sometimes when you've had a not so great consulation , when you find the one and have a brilliant consulation it really does give you a great comparison.
And ewwwww bogies , wrong wrong wrong!!!!!!!!

Re: So far and Q's please
My avi pic <<< is 460 and got me to a DD with a look of a small D in natural terms.
I also Nagor the first time and I found them very hard, firm to the touch and not soft at all, I have soft touch now and I LOVE them! They also have a lower rate of CC.
Ripples are less likely with unders but can still happen as the implant is only placed partly under the muscle, full unders are not really done at all anymore.

So the nagor are firmer than the soft touch? I did think it sounded weird when they said the allergan soft touch were firmer than the nagor? I would have though soft touch meant what its called.
TBH when I tried the nagor today, they didn't feel too firm?! Maybe feel different when in.
Can I ask, what it the nagor implant that gave you the issues you had, or just coincidence that you had those in?

Re: So far and Q's please
No the implant didn't the issues at all, it was error on the Drs part that caused those.
By firmer I think they are referring to the fill/amount of gel in the implant shell, I know soft touch are 100% fill the Nagor are some where around 95 I think but I could have that wrong, you might want to ask Cookie on that. In terms of how they feel in your hand they both felt soft to me but in my body the Nagor were far harder, the part of the breast that wasn't under felt a lot firmer than the soft touch overs I now have.

Re: So far and Q's please
The Nagor Impleo and the Natrelle Soft Touch are both very much on par with one another - both are the 5th generation implant and both have 100% fill which lessens the risk of CC and rippling. I'm unsure why one would feel firmer than the other when they have the exact same fill, but I suspect in your case Kay due to the problems with the muscle and being partials then changing to over the muscle, this is likely more the reason why your breasts feel softer rather than a difference in implant softness. Re: So far and Q's please
Hey,
Yeah I went through aurora. I am 100% happy, the previous guy I was going to have surgery with said I would be a C and have no cleavage and I had to have unders. With 300cc Adrian has proved him wrong on all counts, had 300cc overs, have a really good natural cleavage and at the moment in a 34 D which is too tight!
I split my sitches and the company were fab with seeing me the next day and made an extra appt with him to check it all out.
I do agree with everyone else you should see the others as it does depend on who you click with etc.
Xx

Thanks for your reply. I think I would go with Adrian if the others don't impress me much. I really liked Aggy (nurse).
Where did you have your op? Was it recently? Congrats btw, glad you are pleased

I guess I need to do some reading up on all the different types of implants. I am guessing that each brand has several types of implant! The mind boggles!!

Re: So far and Q's please
Hey,
I had it done at the shelburn (however you spell it!. Had my surgery on 22nd October so nearly 5weeks now.
After the op I didn't see Adrian.... He came. In twice to check I was ok and both times I was sparko!
He is well know in Buckinghamshire and has a very good reputation.
Seeing him 4th December for my six week post op, fingers crossed I can wear normal bras and get measured!!!

yeah I have heard he is good. That's why I went down to see him. Was a 2 hour drive to Northampton for me. Can have surgery there or at Highgate London. If I went ahead with him I would do London though, as cheaper and can get me in much sooner.
Do you share pics? Not sure from you profile? I'd love to see his recent work xx

Re: So far and Q's please
Hi I have 605cc Allergan Soft Touch and at 2 weeks post op they already feel quite soft so I am hopeful they will feel lovely when completely healed. For your sizing reference I am 5'7 and a size 10, I should be measuring a 32F/G when fully healed. However it really does depend on your specific figure as mine sound huge but in reality they have simply made me hourglass shaped instead of pear and I look in proportion! Have to say I loved my surgeon from day one he really got me and made me send him so many pictures of boobs I liked and disliked then discussed the details of each with me to ensure I got the exact look I wanted. I used the same surgeon twice and he has never turned me away or charged me for a consult ever since the first BA! Make sure you are happy with who's hamds you are putting yourself in. Good luck xxx
