Rotation
Hiya girlies. Not been on here since i had my op coming up 3 years now but remember here for being a god send for support and information so wondered if anyone could give their advise/opinion on something thats been bothering me more and more over the past year... My implants seem to move/rotate an awful lot. Especially when i lean forward ( without a bra ) they seem to completely "slip" and turn lengthways which gives a really odd appearance. I can also feel what feels to be air bubbles in places that i can also "pop" about a bit. Sounds a bit bizarre but i hope someone gets me. Theres no pain or tenderness and was beginning to wonder if my pocket is too big or its something else and whether its worth thinking about seeing a ps perhaps. Please let me know any thoughts or similar experiences! Thanks :-)

Re: Rotation
Hi!
It does sound like your implants could be moving or flipping (not fully)... This normally is due to the pocket being too big or sometimes if you had bigger boobs before hand, the implant can move around easier...
We have had a member here who's implant flipped and her implant was flipped back manually but offered a re op which she decided against...
It would be a good idea to get your surgeon to have a look because a reop (making the pocket smaller) would solve this if it is the problem... If it doesn't bother you too much you do to need to but I would defo at least see the surgeon :)
Good luck xx

Re: Rotation
I'd definatley go and see a surgeon hunny. Did you use transform. ?
If so you can go back to them and if you don't want to see your original surgeon see another surgeon in the company.
Wish you all the best Hun and let us know how you get on x

Re: Rotation
Thanks for your responses. It was Transform i went with. Will give them a call tomorrow and see if i can arrange to see someone. I've since moved to the Isle of Wight so makes it little more bothersome as will have to sort ferry travel to mainland lol. Guess i best dig out my aftercare/ warranty too! Im assuming if i need pocket revision thats not always covered. Will update you all tomorrow xx

Re: Rotation
The lady I mentioned above was with transform and they offered her the reop ... If you are within your three years you should be offered a revision if this is the problem...
Hope you get some answers from your surgeon xx

Re: Rotation
Morning all. Made an appointment for mon 9th Dec. Was offered a slot tomorrow but sadly wouldnt have been practical so next avail was 9th and is with my actual surgeon who performed the op. Just hoping if somethings discovered and i do need a reop its covered as appt is just before my 3 years is up but obv any surgery unless being in a 5 day window - which is highly unlikely, will be outside this timeframe xx

Re: Rotation
That's good that your seeing your surgeon :) well hopefully the fact you are seeing him before the 3 years, if he does think a re op is an option it will still count as like you say it's very unlikely your get a date that quickly xx

Re: Rotation
As long as you log the problem within your aftercare timeframe it won't matter when you have your surgery hun.
What matters is that your surgeon agrees to revision if they feel it necessary. Once he has agreed before the aftercare runs out you could have your re-op next year if you wanted it won't matter babe.
Implants flipping is something many women are happy to deal with and will just manually manipulate the implant back into position... However, if this is happening all the time and causing you distress you must make this VERY clear to the surgeon and ensure that what you say is what's written in your notes. Tell them you can't continue with the way things are and feel revision is the only way forward. Again... Ensure what YOU say is written in your notes. I can't stress the importance of this enough hun.
Don't be shy of asking your surgeon to recite back to you what they've written and to correct anything you might feel is wrong. These are YOUR notes and they're what will be referred back to should you have any problems if you feel you do require revision and have any problem with getting it.
If your surgeons offers advise for you to try before going for the invasive option do be sure that its in your notes that if the problem hasn't resolved after you trying the advise from your surgeon that he would be happy to proceed with revise the problem with further surgery for you.
Its so, so important babe. Especially with you being so close to the end of your cover that you ensure you cover your back by it being in your notes that either a re-op is advised or that a re-op would be the next step if the problem hasn't resolved after following advise. Xx

Re: Rotation
Thanks so much for your reply cookie and i will definately remember to take your pointers with me into consultation on the 9th. Filled with pretty mixed emotions about it at the mo. In some ways im thinking its only minor and i should live with it but in others i think ive payed to have my boobs done to feel better about myself and if whenever i have my bra off i immediately am conscious and panic that they may move and take on an odd shape i should seek action. I am also uneasy around my OH with them who has said before "your boobs have gone a bit funny havent they?" nearly bringing me to tears however not meaning to bless him! Sorry for rant.. Think its just time of year im worrying that bit more and maybe after xmas out of the way ill have a clearer mind on the matter and will have an option to consider from surgeon - hopefully! Xx

Re: Rotation
Hi Lmorris I had the same thing with my left boob after my first BA. I had anatomical implants and the left one would rotate at the slightest touch leaving it looking deformed. Just hugging my kids was enough to turn it, I couldn't go without a bra ever as in my sleep or during physical activity it would flip right over flat side up teardrop side pointing inside me and be really sore! I have just had a reop on 6th november but rather than pocket revision I opted to have a whole new BA with round bigger implants as I have had another baby since my first BA and felt I had lost volume etc so I chose to pay again for my surgery.
Good luck with your appointment hun I hope you manage to get it sorted in a way you are happy with xx
