Bras
Ok I ordered some t shirt bras in the sale from next . £4 for 2 so can't complain there and got them in a 32 dd . They for lovely but I know that things may change in the coming week & months . What I didn't realise it that they had under wires in them ! Just thought at t shirt bra was a soft bra! Anyway I have a zip up which I wear all the time but I can wear other bras according to surgeon . I'm sure underwire isn't good though? Anyway don't want to spend much money till they have settled but any recogmends? X

Re: Bras
Underwire isn't good and tshirt bras are not either...Underwires affect your healing as it digs in and tshirt bras offer no support at all.
you need high impact sports bras because in the early stages (6 weeks normally) your implant is adhering to the pocket and it needs stability, have a look on ebay or similar for a shock absorber possibly?
I know the macom is pricey but even after the 6 weeks are up you can still wear it in bed...You could get in contact with your surgeon as to what he meant by 'other bras' but your looking for high impact sports bras. its worth spending a bit of money because it will aid your recovery... tesco/asda support bras do not offer the right support eitherx

Re: Bras
At 6 weeks you normally go back to see your surgeon (or around that point) and they will give you the go ahead for wires ... some girls have to wait longer such as 12 weeks but you need to follow your own surgeons advice. Clarify what 'normal bras mean' because ive never seen that before. You shouldn't be in wires yet, no padding and cheaper bras/tshirt bras are not what you should be wearing for recovery.
The bra needs to be good quality and a high impact sports bra because in the early stages your new breasts need to be supported... they need stability.
I have the Macom but other popular ones here are shock abosorbers, triumph tri action extreme and the m&s zip up's. x

Re: Bras
Cheap primark bras will not give you the support you need early post op hunny.
And no wires yet! These can affect your healing, not only by irratating insions it can also prevent them dropping.

Re: Bras
T-Shirt bra just means a smooth cup that isnt all fancy. Day to day wear under a t-shirt. Only soft cup or non-wired are actually non-wired.
I'd confirm exactly what your surgeon wants you wearing. Some gals are told high impact sports, some are told no bra at all. 'Normal bras' isnt really anything, whos to say whats normal, coz you certainly shouldnt be wearing super push up balconettes at this stage!! I'd get some clarification, and if its sports bras you're meant to be in, the M&S are firm faves on here.
