Re: December Buddies
Hey hon. I'm planning on buying a couple of Macom bra's - my surgeon thinks i'll be around a D/DD but i think it's quite tricky to guess. As Tink says the Macom doesn't require a cup size, just a band size. I'll purchase some support bra's post op once i've got a better idea of size.
I've been wondering today about Post Op clothing. I don't have many front fastening tops, i could do with purchasing a few that are easy to get on and don't draw attention to my swollen boobies. I am spending xmas with my inlaws, who have no idea about the Op :0)
I've checked out New Look but there's not much there about from zip up hoodies. If you ladies stumble upon any good Post Op tops please can you let me know.
Loving all the tickers ticking away....we're one day closer!!!! xxxxx

I've got a Medium Macom for just after op, then I'm going to get the M&S pack of 2 high impact sports bras after op once I've got a better idea of size as I'm same don't know what size to get just now.Ooh MissC I've not thought about front fastening tops.i have planned my Xmas Day outfit though, I've got a nice grey silk blouse from Next which hangs quite loose.Ha ha I can just imagine you sitting with your in laws with your little secret, hopefully you'll be past stage of constantly prodding & staring at them by then.

Hey, for button through tops try indigo in marks and spencer - more casual than smart but ideal I bought one and only wore it for the two weeks but will poss wear it as a top over a vest top in the summer.
I got a v pillow but have hardly used it -as I sleep with two pillows anyway and I just put a third on top as you don't need to sleep sat up right just head and shoulders above heart to help the swelling.

Re: December Buddies
I bought a v pillow from tesco the other day, it was only £7.50 so it's worth getting one for that price. I haven't decided on a Xmas day outfit yet, I better get planning as I will also have to try and disguise the new additions! Xx

Re: December Buddies
Oh that's annoying. I bought a couple of cozy zip up tops in New Look yesterday, there's a 25% off code at the moment in-store and online so it's a good time to stock up on cheap Post Op tops. This will be the last time i buy clothes to hide my boobs so i'm not spending alot of money on them!!
How's everyone feeling, getting organised for their Op and Xmas?? I LOVE Xmas, so am one of those people who have all their presents bought by the end of November. This year i'm even worse than normal, i think because of the BA i want everything to be perfect and super organised.
I've also bought 2 Macoms and my toiletries for hospital...it's starting to feel real now!! :0)
Have any of you got your Pre Op date, when do they typically do that? xxx

Re: December Buddies
Will take a look at new look, thanks for the 25% off tip. I've got my pre op the day before. It's less than 3 weeks away now, how mad is that!
Has anyone thought about the hugging situation (yes I did just ask that) with it being Christmas there's always hugs from people who usually wouldn't and I'm dreading someone who doesn't know, squeezing me too tight!
Xx

Oh dear, that's a good point MrsB - i hadn't thought of the hugging situation!! Unfortunately its 'my mother in laws turn' so we're there for xmas lunch...my parents know about the Op, but not my in-laws.
Hmmm...i'm only going to be 1 week Post Op so Xmas hugs may be off the menu. I might have to feign some kind of contagious illness :0) Perhaps you can take that 'don't come too close' approach? xx

Re: December Buddies
Well I'll be almost 3 weeks post op but think they'll still be tender and I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck about being knocked in them by the dog or the take the breath out of you hug my grandma usually gives me (not that I'm complaining, but it won't stop me being paranoid).
I might do the same as you missCet, and claim to be contagious
Only my husband, 2 sisters and 2 closest friends know about my op xx

Re: December Buddies
Right what've I missed, lol, managed to be so busy today this is my first proper forum check for goss catch up, I've normally been on 5 times by now, lol.
Ooh fab 25% discount at New Look, might check that out this weekend, I've got nice comfy bottoms for going wearing to and coming out his but not thought of top yet, so fab tip.
My pre op date's 25th Nov, I'm a little bit nervous as I get white coat syndrome and my blood pressure tends to go a bit high, think I'll try a Valium before I go, ha only kidding.
I'm at my mum's for Xmas so I'll be covered for hugs, mind you I hugged my friend goodbye yesterday as she was going home & she was like 'What the feck's that', lol I was wearing my rice boobs and she squished them, I've really got so attached to them. Love the 'I'm contagious idea' , might use that with kids if they see I recover well first few days & forget to hobble with backache.
Woohoo MissC your active, happy Friday my lovely Booby Pals.x

4 weeks off work, I'm jeleaous! Sounds like we're all going to increase new looks takings this month
I've got 10 days off work and I'm a bit worried it won't be enough. And I've recently got a new job which is less office based than before so hope I won't have too much on before Xmas (wishful thinking) might have to see if I can have a few extra days off to make it 2 weeks off. Xx

I agree May, looking at those lovely bra's is great motivation. I've always wanted one of those lovely sheer bra's...can't wait!!! xx

Re: December Buddies
Hi all, I finally found the December group!
I'm all booked in for the 21st of December eek! Been worrying a little bit the last few days but when I read this forum it calms me down so much so thank you all :)
I was just reading about rice boobies and can't remember how you do them. I saw that you put it in tights but do you measure that whatever cc you've chosen you measure into grams? So 350cc is 350 grams? Confused!!
hope everyone's having a lovely weekend :)

Lol, MissC Peppa Pig is my very least fav childrens character, i mean she's not even cute, have fun.
Welcome Jordan, we'r all super excited in here & i think past the worrying stage, but we've all had same doubts & feelings so feel free to get it all of your chest.
I measured my rice boobies in mls & it's pretty much the same in grams, but yeah use tights fill it with rice & cut the leg off & either tie in knot or seal it with tape & viola you have instant boobs. I read though that the actual result may be smaller than the rice boobs which i'm struggling with in my head just now coz i love the size mine give me & don't want them any smaller.
Have you got any post op bits & bobs yet Jordan? X

Hi Jordan, I'm booked for my op on the 7th dec, I'm having 300cc overs, takes abit to get your head round it all, I'm just starting to get organised ie bras and post op clothing, it's weird how some days your really excited then others the nerves kick in, it's soo going to be worth it when we are all on the other side of the op, just think to yourself great boobs and no more hidding them, not that I'm going to be running round topless lol

I had a wee look in Primarni (Primark), they've got these fab tops with 2 Xmas puddings on the front at the boob area, i'm so getting one, to wear over Xmas when my friends that know about op come visit me.
MissC did you survive Peppa?
I'm sitting watching Elf with kids, oh I love that film, feeling Christmasy.
