When did it happen?
I was sitting on the sofa last night enjoying a glass or two of wine and was trying to pinpoint exactly when i started to feel like they were totally my own. When did it happen? I can't quite put my finger on it - it just kind of crept up on me!
I am 10 weeks post op and feeling great. They do not feel stuck on or alien anymore. I am not "aware" of them and they feel like they have always been there!
I don't have any pain or discomfort. They also seemed to have evened out nicely which was my biggest worry. Righty has finally decided to play ball and join in with lefty and I never thought it would!! But when did that happen??
The kids come in for a big cuddle and i can squeeze them tight - i was even wrestling on the floor with my 6 year old son yesterday
It feels great and I am loving it. Fingers crossed it continues.
Xx

Re: When did it happen?
Aww that's a really nice post!!
I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and I do find that sometimes I forget they are there, I don't worry about them falling off or feel weird in the shower.... I'm still not comfortable with a squeeze or laying on my side throughout the night but it's getting there!! It's a great feeling though :D xx

Re: When did it happen?
Sounds like you're having a GREAT recovery babe! Mine felt alien to me for a good 4 or 5 months. The morning boob had stopped around 4 weeks and by doG was I happy when that went! But like you say about your boob catching up with the other. Often with healing you seem to blink one day and think as you said "when did that happen" haha. It really is torture for some through the healing process will all the worry and concern.... But it's always at the time when you're.not looking that they do always come good.
Yay for boobies!
Yay for boobies!
Re: When did it happen?
I'm still waiting for that magical time when I'm not aware of them. Lefty just keeps yelling 'don't forget I'm here now' every so often! But I'm thinking positive, more pain = more healing = closer to my perfect boobs!

Re: When did it happen?
oh Cookie was it really 4/5 months????
I'm so aware of mine it's horrible. I was so pleased to finally have a shower, then I finally did and found my new assets just got in the way.
Today they feel like the left implant is trying to get out at the bottom!!
I'm hoping that in a few weeks time I won't be so aware of them. I'm massively uncomfortable at the moment!!x

Re: When did it happen?
Aww Cab I hope they feel better soon! For the first two weeks I was so aware... I didn't like taking my bra off either for a shower and then around the 4/5 week mark the felt sooo much better... they started to feel apart of me then... I think its always a strange feeling in the shower :) Give it a few more weeks and like seashell said... your wake up one day or be doing something and then suddenly think...hold on a minute.... I couldn't do that a few days ago?! :) xx

Re: When did it happen?
At the time it seems a million miles away that everything will feel normal again. I remember having the most pain at 3 weeks PO and wondering if I really should still be in pain and why was I?
Now I am out the other side and it is like "wow" everything can be easy again! I'm not taking it for granted tho and consider myself very lucky that I have had a trouble free recovery so far. However it is still early days!! It was bizarre as after I started this thread, later that day I did something and felt a little pull on one of my scars. I think my boobs were telling me "don't get too confident chick! We're still here!!"" lol.
