one boob bigger than other
My right boob is bigger than my left, I know this can be normal until they are fully healed. Im just a bit worried as I thought the right one was always a bit bigger before I had ba but my surgeon never mentioned it and I was that flat to start with I didn't think it mattered that much. Do you think they will even out in time or because there was a slight difference before they will stay like this? If they were both the same as the bigger one I think I would actually like them for the first time ever! Xx

Re: one boob bigger than other
From my research, final results won't be seen until around 6 months so you may still even out and most likely will!!
A BA will give you a bigger result of what you had already so if there was a slight difference pre BA then you may still have this... Surgeons will only put in different sizes if it's a significant difference do I would guess they will settle down ... Fingers crossed :) xx

I think asymmetry is less noticeable when bigger, but since your surgeon hadn't said anything and you have the same size implants I wouldn't beat yourself up about it too much as they may seem fine to everyone else :)

Thanks, the difference before was very slight, I was probably only one that noticed but the difference now is a lot more! I hope you are right and they even out! Xx

Re: one boob bigger than other
On the contrary babe... Having a BA will actually magnify any differences we have pre-op.Emmaxo wrote:I think asymmetry is less noticeable when bigger
At just a month post-op Pixie I really wouldn't worry or judge your boobs just yet... You really are VERY early in your recovery hun and having one boob bigger than the other is soooooooo common due to one boob having suffered more trauma in theatre than the other and therefore will be taking a little longer to catch up than the boob that had a good old time of things....
I had wonky boobs and one bigger than the other that looked the ugliest things I'd ever seen, I swear I even felt like one felt it had its own passport and was travelling around to my back! Its a wonder I have any hair left from that time I was so panicked over it... But I needn't have. Healing really does take time and as much as we hear it, it never sits right in your own head when its you who is the one going through it....
It was 12 weeks before mine evened out fully Pixie, infact I lie... It was 12 weeks until 'to me' they looked perfect! No longer were they odd sized, my wandering boob had missed its front and headed home and I loved them.... Jus as I'm sure you will after all of your healing hun.
If the difference in symmetry was minimal pre-op then it won't be of any significance post-op hun... Let them do their Job babes and give them the time they need to heal xx
Re: one boob bigger than other
Thanks cookie, thats good to know they should eventually even out, its just strange as its the one that ive never had any pain in and started dropping first! To me it looks awful, so much smaller than the other one, i just hope like you by 12 weeks they are the same as I know I would be really happy with them then, its hard waiting though xx

Ah try not to stress hun, I'm sure they will even up once they heal, but you could always arrange to have a chat to your surgeon if that would put your mind at ease? The pics you have put up are great, so just take it a day at a time and I'm sure you will LOVE them by Christmas :D xxx

Re: one boob bigger than other
No one has 100% perfect equal symmetrical boobs pre op. My lefty has always been a tad bigger. But not noticably enough to warrent 2different sizes, so probably much like yourself. They will even out eventually, i promise. Mine did. Then Righty headed even further south and they look cross eyed again! Give it 3-6m before you start judging. Easier said than done, I know (and its even difficult to take my own advice!), but it will get better

If you had a slight difference pre-op, then you will have it post-op but magnified. However, you're still early on so there's plenty of time for the size difference to improve. Your asymmetry can't have been too bad as you would have had different size implants x

Re: one boob bigger than other
As has already been said a BA will magnify any difference.
I have a slight difference between mine, my surgeon told me of this before my op, he also mentioned that my nipples weren't completely level.
He wanted me to be aware of this because of the fact that it would be more noticeable after having implants inserted.
Obviously the difference wasn't big enough to warrant having one implant bigger than the other.
Boobs just aren't identical, you still have loads of healing to do, and each boob heals at a different rate so they can look quite odd at times!

Re: one boob bigger than other
I think this is a big concern to a lot of us especially as new boobs tend to go through a franken-boob stage while they settle! As other girls have said try not to judge how they look now until they've had a chance to heal!
I worked as a bra fitter a long time ago and was surprised to find that almost everyone has a little asymmetry, we probably notice it more on our own bodies as we scrutinise them so much!
I'm sure you'll love them once they've settled xx
