Bonding with boobs with strapping???

Hey girls

Just reaching out to all those girls that were strapped up for the first week after their BA. Did anyone struggle to bond with their new assets??? I'm REALLY REALLY struggling. The strapping is tight and itchy, I can't see my boobs at all. The shape through the strapping is nice but I HATE them, I truely HATE them. They're far far too big, all my friends say they're not that they're fine but I can't bear them. I think I look like a caricature of Dolly Parton. And it can't be down to the strapping because the strapping is only like a mm thick.

I'm hoping its the fact that I can't see them is why I'm just not bonding with them. So wondered how other girls who were strapped up felt - good and bad please!

Aw Hun, obviously I can't help because I'm per ba, but I hope you don't feel like this for much longer... Like you say it might just be because they're strapped up & swollen. Big hugs xxxx

First of all, I applaud your honesty...it's not all rainbows an unicorns (although we all would like it to be-and glitter, lots of glitter, and cute babies, and Prince charming on white stallions, and and and ok I'm getting giddy!) But yeah, it's not an easy straight forward process,having a ba and then suddenly booom you're in love with your new body. 

Regardless of whether you're strapped or not, the first few months are full of changes, looking at pics on Google of before and after stages just show that (I sound like a wise owl, with a wealth of experience, but I'm only 10days post op....but I HAVE done a lifetime of research,  both medical and emotional. Also I have spent a shockingly large portion of my time on her before and since I got my Bristols (as in cities..ya know t*tties!) And since, like to the extent that I think I may have a problem....) 

Anyway up until yesterday, mine still felt very alien to me, I didn't really look at them, and had them hidden under lots of clothes since my ba, but yesterday I just had some time on my own, so I turned the lights down lo---nah, not really, just kidding but I did had a good look, from every angle, set up a pic trail (for myself at first but decided I would share--was feeling brave!!)   Looked at the before pics, and cos I was feeling more mobile in my arms (bye bye t-rex arms!!) I tried some tops I wasn't comfortable in before, and I fell in love. Just like that. It's like Shakespeare really, if you think about it. No? Ok but seriously, give yourself time, right now they may feel too big,but they are going to change shape, the swelling go down, and the shape (even if the size doesn't change) can make a big difference. Once you get to the bra wearing stage you can go by yourself and find some things that will make you feel more confident, even if it's just for yourself! 

I really hope that's helped...or at the very least made you smile chin up, boobs out, that's the way!

I was strapped up literally to my throat for the first week.
I found it really hard to get any idea of how they were gonna look as the only bit not covered was my nipples!! I couldnt judge size or shape at all.

Towards the end of the week I got so itchy and just wanted to tear it all off!

Remember you are only 5 days in and it is still a very new experience to look down and see your new additions but you will soon get used to them and grow to love them I am sure.

When I did go in to have all the tape removed, it initially felt great to get some air to my skin but as i walked round Tescos after i actually missed it as I didn't feel they were as protected as before. It was like someone had taken away my comfort blanket!! The feeling did not last long and I soon got used to my boobies new freedom. rolll on ditching the sports bra now!!

I am! My nipples aren't even free, its gonna HURT when this stuff comes off. Its pulled so tight I can barely breathe! From 2" under my boobs up to my throat, literally, no breaks.

I do feel protected right enough, well did, now I've just had ENOUGH!!! I can't wait to be free. And I REALLY want to like my new chest. At the moment I just wanna cry all the time! Crazy. I am not that girl

When is your appointment to get the strapping taken off?

Not familiar with the strapping, but I did have a binder on 24/7 for 6wks, and yes, I hated it and them. I would stare for ages, and they were hideous. But you've just got to keep telling yourself ovr and over, theyre not finished, this is just the start, theyre still healing, wait until 3/6mth and they WILL look like boobies!

Tuesday is the big reveal.

I've gone from pretty flat to well endowed and its a big change. I just look so so big, even hiding them under clothes. I hope I like them when I can see them naked.

The binder sounds horrendous Charlie :-/

I didn't have strapping, but I can imagine it is a right royal pain in the bum! Please try not to overthink it, I am sure your friends are right and they look a lovely size. They are going to feel weird for a bit, and at 5 days post op you are not going to feel normal yet, let alone feeling itchy too.

yes,was strapped up so tight,youve seen the cuts i got from my strapping!!!was itchy,painful,felt like i had strapped on boobs and i cried thinking what have i done?????!!!!!couldnt see my new boobs but could feel the pain,horrible!!!!you will feel so much better once its off,naked for a bit without it,but then so liberated!!!!!x

Chin up sassy!! One more sleep and then you get to see them for real, just try and think positive, I can imagine that with strapping they are going to look a really weird shape (while strapped up) so that's not helping one bit! But once that's gone you can start to love your boobies xx

Hm WELL, Ive just left a msg for the nurse to call me back to see if I can take it off now, its come loose round the back and where ive been rubbing the top so much Ive worn a hole!!!! God I hope she says yes! Ive got proper dressings and stuff because of my work so FINGERS CROSSED. Im tearing my skin away its itching so much! xx

I didnt really like mine in the beginning hun even though I didnt have strapping on them.the sports bra was bad enough.but wen I took my sports bra off and got a nice pretty bra on I loved them.its a long old journey hun but u will get there eventually xxxx
