Will people notice?
I know I'm fretting about this ages before my op! As I'm not planning on having it for say another 11 months -though this is partly for the reason I'm going to mention...
Basically I'm only going to tell my closest family & best friends & work colleagues....& part of the reason I'm going to leave it until later next year is so as its getting cooler I can cover up more. But I'm really worried that people are going to notice straight away? I don't mind most people knowing - & if they ask ill probably tell the truth. But my bfs dad & step mum are really judgemental & I'm so worried that they're going to notice & get funny! They nearly had a fit when we got sky!

Re: Will people notice?
As long as you're not going from flat to huge, or flaunting them majorly in a very low-cut top then no, people won't notice x

Re: Will people notice?
Well I'm thinking of having 520cc I had big boobs before children, so I think people that I don't see regularly wont notice - but they're here most weeks! X

Re: Will people notice?
No!! This was my worry too but they do not look much different under clothes and esp in the sports bra... If you wear padded bras it will help also ...
People might if I show cleavage on a night out in a month or so, but It's none if their business anyway so it doesn't really matter lol! Xx
I had 460 which sounds big in cc's but you can see they don't look big on be in my profile so although 520 sounds big it ought not look too big in your body :) don't worry there are always ways to hide them if you wish XX

Re: Will people notice?
If anyone says anything just say you've got a new magic bra! I'm not telling anyone apart from my closest friends and my mum and step dad but I will only look about the same as I did with magic bras so I don't think anyone will notice.
I'm particularly not telling my mother in law as she is the same - very judgemental and if I say my boobs are ruined she will say something like hers are worse and she isn't having a boob job (every ailment I have, she has 10 times worse!!)

Re: Will people notice?
I think if people point it out/ask if you've had a BA in a crowd its a bit rude as its quite personal.. is that just me?
I am not telling many people either (v close family only) so I am hoping that people from work wont see me after my week off and think 'crikey!' but as everyone else said, I am thinking if I have a high fronted top on they wont notice :)

Yeh I was thinking of saying that actually - good plan! Ahh nightmare - some people are so annoying aren't they? My bfs mum is amazing, & I get on with her so well. but his dad & step mum are totally different! They still call us 'kids' too (we're 30 & 29, have a mortgage & 2 kids) which drives me mad!! X

Yeh catgirl I agree, it is rude!.. But you know what some people are like..
Yeh I think wearing high top should help? Maybe gradually stuff my bra more and more up until my ba? That way it will look gradual? X

Padded bras in the run up are the way forward honey, and if people are rude enough to ask outright just simply say......'oh sorry, didnt I tell you? Mustn't have been any of your damn business then!'

Re: Will people notice?
I was worried about that too as I did not want my BA to be common knowledge. My parents would not approve!
I naturally had 30dd boobs but after breast feeding my last baby and getting back to pre pregnancy weight, my boobs just disappeared south!!
When I decided to go ahead with my BA I bought some chicken fillets and wore them daily for months until my op date.
I still have not told any of my friends and only my sister, and no-one has asked me. Not even my closest friend that I see every day on the school run has asked!
I am really pleased with the size and my old boibs have been restored. Over clothes I really don't look that different and by next summer when I am back in normal bras and scrappy tops, no-one will remember how I looked for a few months after losing my boobs and before I discovered chicken fillets and then had the op.

Re: Will people notice?
My mother in law hasn't noticed, my mother (who is very observant) hasn't noticed and my twin sister (also hyper observant) hasn't noticed and she was even making the usual 'i got big boobs and you got small boobs' jokes yesterday at me!!!!!!!! The fact my brother hasnt noticed doesn't suprise me!!!!The sports bra keeps them compressed abit (not like a padded underwired I usualy wore) so prob why it isnt noticeable at the mo

That's what I will say if anyone asks. Yeah my mother in law does my head in! She's nice enough but she totally mothers my little boy, feeds him and does everything for him (he's 3!) ha ha kids! Call them oldies that will soon shut them up! X

Re: Will people notice?
Haha that's funny Michelle! Bet inside you were laughing! 'Actually I've just bought myself some lovely boobs :)'
I know what you mean Lias - my bfs dad didn't bother with him when he was little & his wife hasn't got any kids, so they act like our son is there's! :| they're obviously trying to make up for something... Haha 'oldies' I might have to call them that next time :) x

Re: Will people notice?
I've always wore padded bras, so I'm hoping no one will notice....... To be honest I'm past caring what people think. I'm hoping if anyone notices they will ask and not tit tattle. I don't wear clothes too revealing. So they won't know........ After my B.A though maybe I will show tiny bit of cleavage.......... That get them talking...... I've only told my mum, best friend, work colleagues and my sis and bro in law........ And they are amazing.....xx

Re: Will people notice?
Absolutely agree with you catgirl and wouldn't be shy at all of telling someone who might ask about me boobs to mind their own bloody business. I was never in the habit of discussing my boobs with anyone pre-op and I had surgery to change my breasts - not my personality! So I haven't got in the habit of discussing my boobs post-op either. Its just not me.catgirl wrote:I think if people point it out/ask if you've had a BA in a crowd its a bit rude as its quite personal.. is that just me?

In 7 years though no-one has ever asked about my boobs. I've heard suggestive comments which I've ignored and people may well go home and talk behind my back, I don't know... But what I do know is that what anybody says behind my back I really don't give a toss about. If I was asked outright as I've said already, I'd telly them to mind their own business.
I do not lie, but I also expect people to respect my privacy and the fact that IF I wanted to discuss my boobs with them, I would have done of my own accord. The fact that I haven't should tell them that I have no desire to discuss something that is so intimate.
Becci - I wouldn't worry hun - if you go round with a push-up bra on and a top with a cleavage to ya belly button... Yeah, I think you'll raise a few eyebrows haha. But you can play your boobs down to be very modest if you'd like to so I really wouldn't let this worry you lovely. Xx
Re: Will people notice?
Aw thank you cookie. I'm the same as you - I'm not someone that goes around telling everyone about my boobs, & won't be the type of person to go around showing everyone my post op ones either! (I know some people do, & that's fine for them. But it's definitely not 'me')
I don't mind if people have a little gossip saying 'has she, hasn't she' behind my back... Because I have to admit, I do that myself! Ha
Reading all you girls experiences has helped to put my mind at rest. Thanks guys :) xx

Re: Will people notice?
I have only told one friend and my cousin about my BA, nobody has made any comments as yet.
I have gone from flat chested to an E cup, so a noticeable difference but it's hard to explain. Even though they are completely different they just look normal, like they were meant to be. I am not wearing plunging tops but I do wear tight tops, I have to say I thought certain people would notice.
I think this also proves that when I was flat chested nobody thought anything of it either!
