How are we all today girls?
I went back to work yesterday, I'm just doing few short shifts to ease me in so I was 6-10pm I'm an assistant manager in a betting shop and omg, the energy it takes to deal with some of my customers I just didn't have it yesterday. Thankfully I was on with my jobsharing girl so she basically took charge and let me just cashier n stay comfy mostly. I wasn't sore just no energy :(

Re: September Buddies
I hope all you ladies are doing well and are enjoying your new boobies and the journey towards having boobies!!
I have missed a lot of here as I have been enjoying my few weeks off before starting at the agency and when Ive not been busy outta the house I have been applying for lots of Apprenticeships in hopes that I can start before xmas so as I have discussed with the lovely Jennifer, I have more or less banned this forum and facebook as its all too distracting and I really need to focus on the job hunt. But I am still thinking of you all and hoping the best for your boobies.
Quick update. Everything is going smoothly with me, they feel pretty normal now apart from the itchy inisions!! Arghhhh!!!!!
Boobies have settled down so well and Id say most if not all swelling is gone, some sensativity in the nips and underboob is still to regain fully but not worried there as I am gaining more and more of that back each day.
Got two week checkup on friday so looking forward to that, thinking he may take the tape off inciions and snip any stray stitches althought not 100%
I havnt seen the incisions yet so that will be interesting but they feel stable under the tape and not particularly sore anymore.
And still have not got round to a pic trail. Might be a job for the weekend if I have time as got a lot planned with partner before I go back to work on monday.

Easing into it sounds sensible Mrsg.
Luckily when I go back i will be doing only 5 hour shifts so rek that will be fine to ease into it.
Best of luck with the rest of your working week.

Hi mrsg, short shifts sound good, it is very easy to feel worn out!! Good that your friend was happy to take most of the responsibility :)
Good to hear from you yolanda, looking forward to hearing how your check up goes :) I'm meant to take my 2nd lot if dressings off this weekend so I will have bear scars then which is scary xx

Yip I'm very lucky to have such a brilliant work partner, between us we do the same job over 55hrs in the week so it's more flexible. So glad they've tried to schedule me as a kind of spare body this week to let me ease in. My work have been absolutely fab.
Just glad it's a baggy tshirts I'm wearing at the min or the old men who come in would be speechless hahahahahaha

Re: September Buddies
Hi September ladies, I'm on page 13 of 21 and am really really interested in your journeys. I'm like a weird stalker as none of you know me but I feel I know you! I'm not weird, honestly. I'm struggling to finish the messages before writing my own as my babies are quite a handful at the moment and I work evenings. Sooooo, I'm just to fire off some questions if that's ok? I'm so sorry if I'm writing something random in the middle of reassuring friendly conversation! My computers so sllllow. I'm with THG with Dr Paganelli on 26th September. I've already learnt so much from your messages on how the op goes, how your boobs look/feel etc.
I'm pretty nervous about the surgery itself. Can anyone give me a little gist on what to expect? And handy tips (equipment, hospital bag, general thinking!)? And post op, I'm back to looking after my 1 and 2 year old and waitressing at night. Any tips? My husband is off work for 7 days to help out but we've NO idea what to expect post op.
Also, the boobs! I'm assuming its different for everyone? Changes, pains, itching (I'd no idea about itching) and poss soothing treatment tips.
I'm a complete novice as this has all been started and paid for this week. I'll work my way through the remainder of september's messages when I can. You all sound very brave and considerate. Xxx

Re: September Buddies
Oh thats good, I will have to wish you a happy bday again on Monday Lol. And Ive been joining my sister on walks during the week with my dog and shes been holding the lead and thats been good being able to go out and have a nice excerise. My partner doesnt wrk weekends so he walks Rupert on the weekend and weve been going up the new forest, all very nice and relaxing.
Cant beleive Im saying this but I cant wait to getback to work as its boring doing nothing, bar applying for jobs. Although did some nice shopping for myself monday, got some nice bits from a few charity shops! Nice bargains there Haha.
NSaw- Id personally type most of your questions in the search bar just to get a jist of previous questions and chats these ladies have had regarding issues.
Overall, its a great experience. Its best to gather as much info leading up to booking as you can so you are prepared for anything that might happen.
Most ladies like to buy travel pillows, v pillows, icepacks and button up pj's and easy to get on clothes for the hospital and fr at home when you are recovering.
On the day of surgery you may find theres a lot of people coming in and out of your room introducing themselves and offering assistance etc, there may b a lot of waiting around so bring things to keep you busy like a tablet or mags and as long as the hosp has wi-fi then your golden really. Afterwards youll have those same people checking up on you thrughout your stay, checking blood pressure, temperature, oxygen levels nd pulse, they may wake you during the night but the meds and GA shouldnt make that a problem really and going bk to sleep should b easy enough.
When your home you will probs b fine to plod about the house but not much for than that, your arms will be delicate and you will b unable to lift your arms up and you will be quite sore. It will be btter and better each day though and you will find you will b able to get bk to normal quite soon as long as you dont over do it at any point. You might find if you do this , you might put bk your recovery nd b extra tender the next day.
You will also feel amd hear weird things coming from your boobs, dont panick, its all normal.
Hope this helps, sorry bout any mis spelt words and grammer, my keypad is terribly sticky and I just cant be bothered to keep going over and checking lol.

Re: September Buddies
Hi nsaw, there was 40 pages before these pages that had to be deleted to make room, we've been chatting lol!
Hospital bag- nibbles, pjs, going home clothes, flip flops, underwear, electric tooth brush, sports bras Erm and for at home you want Ice packs.... You might want to take arnica... Also take slippers and a dressing gown to hospital because you have to walk to theatre
What to expect- when you get to hospital your be given a robe, paper knickers and stockings, sign forms and go through double checks of health, your meet your surgeon and the man who puts you to sleep then will be taken down to theatre where your be put to sleep in seconds, wake up in recovery and then taken pack to your room :)
After your arms will be very weak and your not meant to do any heavy lifting as it can cause a lot of damage, this includes your little ones and is always a issue for the mummy's here! I've never been in any pain just discomfort ... I started to feel more like myself on day 6 , the worst bit for me was the backache because you have to sleep with your head and shoulders above your chest to help blood flow to the boons and incisions... A vpillow is always recommend!
Your be very tired so waitressing at night will be hard! ... How long of have you got?
Your new boobs will itch (things healing) ache and be heavy! All normal as healing inside can take up to a year.. It's a long process haha...
Hope this starts to help lol... I'm on my phone so sorry about any spelling mistakes!! Xx

Re: September Buddies
Rightyho - that's given me tons to think about. I may sound like a complete donkey asking all of this. But I'm just playing catch up as the whole process started 3 days ago. I've wanted it for many years but never read up on the technical stuff.
Quick Q! Just researched Macom bras. There's no 32 size left until 2 days post op. shall I buy one then and make do with an M&S until it arrives or buy a 34? I'm a mix of 32/34 so it'll fit. I'm just concerned it'll be too loose after all I hear is to keep the boobs tight.
Brilliant news about the slippers - I've got an excuse to wear my crazy duck ones after years of hiding them!

Woohoo duck slippers sound ideal haha, well I brought a 34(my normal back size) and a 36, I'm 11 days now and swelling has gone done a lot so I'm in my 34, you could do that or your idea is fine too :) xx

Haha September loonies!!! I think we might hold the record for the most chit chat, 50% of it helpful the rest just random haha...
I'm feeling ok! Had my first full day out(sounds crazy) but went for lunch and walked the dog and visited my boyfriends sister as her birthday is coming... Feeling tired but just made a cup of tea :)
Bizzy everyone is working on my birthday! I will literally be alone with the dog who I can't even walk! So we are going out for a big meal in the evening and will make some plans for next weekend instead lol.. Am finding it soooooo difficult to dress up this Macom though, I'm going to but some jumpers and start winter now! Xx
